Vader for President, would you vote for him?

Let us say, that in 2004, Darth Vader materialized into our world, he was running for president, if he gets the votes, he would become the president,

would you vote for him?
The emperor cannot contact him, it is him only, to run the USA as he sees best,

he might be able to mind control SOME world leaders but not all, or non at all, or all of them, who knows,
what could he possibly do that would be overly insane?

Besides, who is going to honestly argue that Vader is better than Bush. vader kills people for disobedience, which, surprise, is not a desireable trait in a democratically elected President. Hey Bush comes a lot Closer to being a dictator then Vader does. Vader just bullies around his troops and the Rebels, he doesnt seem to do anything to the general population. and what do hwe have from Bush? the Patriot act, Homeland Security act (which is enforced by a bigger idiot than bush) Eyc. anyone else seeing the parallels here to B5 when President Clark took over office in that series.

One, I am firmly in favor of executing the incompetent and/or stupid.
Two, given the sort of person Vader is, I would be worried that he would go around, forcing each and every person on the planet to tell him who they voted for, and choking the ones who voted against him.

How would vader fight the war on Terror you think?
America has really gone above and beyond what anyone ever would have thought, what would he have done? and would it have got your vote?

Well, the thing is that Vader would be politically unstoppable. You oppose him? Apology accepted, Senator <insert name here>.

Not to mention that he would have absolutely no qualms with going into battle himself; with Iraq, he probably would have gone in first, by himself, and killed Saddam personally. With Saddam out of the way, he'd have the tanks move in and wipe out the rest of the resistance, all while he heads around the country eliminating resistance leaders.

I think the important thing you have to remember here, is that if Vader was in charge you wouldn't get a vote.

thats no different than what the USA is doing right now, they are going in and trying to capture or kill the resistance leaders

Except that he'd probably be doing it himself, with a far greater accuracy rate than we have. The result would be a much shorter conflict (heck, once they realized that we had an effectively unstoppable leader, they might just even give up).

I don't think it would be too bad actually, aslong as whatever he decided was most important for America was going as planned, I don't think he'd tinker too much with the lives of your average american. Terrorist threats would drastically diminish, as each terrorist caught would be tortured to death, or near death, until all answers were found. I think Americans would actually feel safer with him in office, I know I would. I hate to say it, and I hate to think about it, but I'd know that every last resource of information would have been shredded and tortured and analysed, until nothing was left.
