Very much like it, especially Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi.
Untypically for a German, I don't really like Wagner![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Technically, Wagner is Romantic anyway.Dahak wrote:*raises hand*

And yes, I enjoy classical music, both in the sense of "old" and "made in the mid-1700s to the early 1800s."
Don't hate; appreciate!

I haven't listened to much in the way of it, but the "type" of music is what I like best. Ie, instrumental, non-lyrical (for the most part). I find the best, IMO, in movie soundtracks.

It's available in DVD-A, but lacking a player I have no clue how good it is.phongn wrote:I love Holst's The Planets, but it is difficult to find a good recording of it -- mine certainly isn't too good.
As for me I have about 20 classical records, that's records as in vinyl LPs. There's some Mozart, Bach, and yes I do have Ravel's Bolero.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

I love it also, I have over 150 classical CD's... mostly entire works.
My CD collection generally contains stuff I like. Mahler, Bruchner, Rachmaninov, Vaughan Williams, Stravinsky, Messiaen, Carl Vine, John Adams, Phillip Glass, J.S Bach orchestral and choral works (not so much his keyboard stuff), and Respighi. I like the orchestral colour alot, and I think my interests show that. From the complicated works like Bach and Stravinsky and Messiaen (and Schoenberg) to the big romantic works such as Mahler, to the thematicly simple, but texturaly dense works of the late Minimalists. (John Adams/Phil Glass)

I like some of them. Mozart is OK. Beethoven is pretty good here and there.

i dig the classical style of music. i'm not too terribly familiar with names unfortunately though. i haven't heard many true classics, though i enjoy music with alot of strings that's done in the same vein. one fairly modern artist that writes music in a classical style is the composer for the original onimusha score. i forget his name atm though i'll post it after i find my CD.

I'm a fan of classic music. Especially, Pier Gynt, Vivaldi, Moart, Bach, Beethoven. Of Viladi's complete Four Seaons, I find Presto-Tempo impetuoso d'estate best, just that fast. That and Concerto Grosso in F - Adiagio. Ashokan Farewell is good Baroque, but I like Naopleonic era Tchiavosky and Ivanov very good. Short and loud.

Schubert, Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Salieri, Holst, Dvorak, etc., etc.. Hooray for classical music.

Dvorak is my all time favorite, though.
