Anyone remember that Haliburton Iraqi Fuel contract?

It's all BS.

The hullaboo over it, that is.

I cannot fault Halliburton for going and getting the fuel for the military
from a reliable source (Kuwait) that has supported us through this, versus
an unreliable but cheaper source (Turkey) that screwed us during the run up
to the war.

And of course, Kuwait is closer to where we're operating in Iraq, with a better
transportation network than the much less developed Turkey/Iraqi border
which is mountainous.

Also, the American troops worked their way up from south to north, which is (surprise!) much easier to do when your fuel is coming up from a country behind your front instead of much farther away and somewhere past the country you're invading...

Well I mean I've been doing that for a while but now will I have some justification?
