They've already done it. The Enterprise made it to Quo'nos in less than a week, even though it took Kirk hours just to get messages to and from SF command while he was patrolling the area during TOS.

It's like Voyager (in that they invent everything), except that in Enterprise they have all of the other Trek series to take technology from. If they invent a transphasic torpedo I seriously will try to hurt someone.

At least watching a car wreck gives you the satisfaction of seeing burnt people crawling out of the wreckage.

Still, hope is quite a strong influence on people. People might do something for a long time in hope that they might suceed. Some people watch Enterprise just hoping that the episode might be good.

I'm waiting for the series to end in disgrace and the writers to look for new jobs. Create a show based off the Terran Empire, and perhaps more than just Trekkies will watch the show.

Um, just to clairify something: They found an alien space station of unknown origin that had replicators. There is no evidence that Enterprise gained the technology from this encounter.

As far as the holo deck from the first season, that was alien technology as well. Again, no evidence that Enterprise gained that technology. Although the Klingons may have because they demanded it from the aliens that had it.

I do not see any continuity problems from this episode.

B&B suck, but that wasn't a bad episode, and you're taking the replicators waaaaay out of context. That station was far beyond anything the Vulcans
or Starfleet had, perhaps even during TNG. It could fix the damage done to the [alien] ENT in a matter of days vs. Jupiter Station's 3 month drydock time...and it was, after all, a kind of venus flytrap. It needed replicator-like technology to help sucker wayward ships to it.

Rather than crash on the one seemingly anachronistic tidbit of the whole
show, I think that episode deserves praise. The damage they sustained
to ship and crew in the last episode wasn't just ignored as it would've
been in TOS and TNG, we didn't hear much of anything in the way of
technobabble, and we even had a tip of the hat to TOS in the Tellarite
blurb.

Give a dog a treat when he does well, and scold him when he doesn't.
If we were training B&B to grow up and be good little mutts, constantly
scolding them even when they do alright wouldn't teach them much.

That Enterprise could not destroy that crappy pylon with a single torpedo, while it damaged itself heavily with the same weapon, indicates that its armor is pathetic compared with the station (remember that it was still "polarized").

They could try to be more original. Not rehash techno crap from the future and come up with their own ideas. Photon torpedo's, phasers and the like, transporters kind of, and other universal StarTrek tech would be alright but all the stuff that you ONLY see in the TNG and after should not make an apearance in Enterprise.IMO.
