Favorite Lightsaber

Post by JME2 »

The Lightsaber is, as well all know, the trademark weapon of the Jedi Orders, both old and new, and probably the most recognizable weapon in the galaxy. Yet, many variations have existed, each one uniqe to their Jeid user. Which one is your favorite?

My personal favorite is Luke's second lightsaber, the one introduced in Return of the Jedi and still in use a quarter of a century later during the Yuuzhan Vong war (as evidence by Luke killing Shimrra)

My favorite is the green lightsaber used by Luke in the ROTJ.

Vader's saber.

Mauls double blade. It can be a staff or only have one half activated for a long handled sabre.

Maul's should've had a way to seperate other than getting sliced in half. Then it could've been a single bladed saber, a double bladed one, or two single bladed sabers. That would've kicked even more ass than that weapon already did.

I like Anakin's final lightsabre, the one Luke inherits and loses at the end of ESB, and Mara gets it at the end of TTT. Blue is my favourite colour, and there's something about the hilt that appeals to me. Luke's green sabre from ROTJ was also something special.

Probably a prequal era saber, I was never fond of the later ones. They seem less structurally sound.

I love Windu's purple blade, and you have to admire the gold styling on the . However, I can't deny the power of the classic Vader, and Yoda's saber from AOTC is pretty bitchin.

Obi-wan's OT sabre, I like the black and silver coloring and bell-shaped emitter.

Luke's second lightsaber gets my vote for coolest design, although I also like a few of the prequel ones. Most notably, Yoda's lightsaber due to its miniaturization and Count Dooku's lightsaber for its innovatively bent design.

I kinda like Corran Horns Lightsabre, hit a switch and it doubles the length of the blade.
now imagine that combined with Mauls double sided lightsabre with a way to seperate them into 2 sabres and then you get what i would want.

According to the EU, Maul's lightsaber had length and intensity adjusters, but he apparently chose not to use those during his duels in TPM.

I actually prefer Exar Kun's double-bladed lightsaber to Darth Maul's, but that's just me.

Hmm. Lukes green bladed lightsaber from RotJ. Ben Kenobi's from ANH come in close second.

Curious though, they just had a commercial from Master Replica's on the TV. First one of those I've ever seen. Pretty cool.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

Supposedly Anakin's/Luke's light saber had those as well while I think Darth Vader's only had an intensity adjuster. I don't think Luke's second saber or Ben Kenobi's saber had adjusters on them.

Actually, I think that when you see Maul activate his saber in TPM in the hanger, the handle gets longer a little bit.

Do you think someone told Dooku to "get bent"? :P

If Mauls can adjust and split apart, his wins.

Can I get that in so the blade color changes?
