Well... Paranoia just rubs me the wrong way. Party killing itself off... Ugh...

Paladin player, man. Betrayal is not my thing. (Although I'm not your typical paladin player. Played a multiclass paladin/rogue once. That was fun. And evil... I mean good. )

My thoughts on some of the choices:

D&D 3rde: A huge improvement over 2nde! Just the coherent skill system was worth the price of the books, and everything else is also so much smoother now.

D&D 3.5: Very slightly better than D&D 3rd, not worth the price of a new book if you have 3.0.

D&D 2e: Gah.

GURPS: Does a lot of things well, and is admirable in its generality. Can become as good as 3rd ed with just a bit of GM effort,

World of Darkness: Haven't played much of it, but seemed pretty nice.

Shadowrun: On one hand, I love the way they handle the magic system. On the other, the 5-6/6-7 disjunction in target numbers really sucks, and a lot of metagaming. There are other good and bad things too.

Silhouette: From the little I've heard I like it a lot.

42: Always the correct answer, and I wish I'd seen it before voting.
SDN Rangers: Gunnery Officer

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.

Yes, the answer is magic missile if it has to do with D&D and 42 if it does not. So I threw them both in there to confuse everyone.

Yeah, that's it. Chardok, you want directions to that nest of Palladium holdouts? As an added bonus, their forum is evil. It might even rival this one in evilness, though it doesn't have near as many members.

No thank you. I barely have time for this board, my gaming obligations (BF 1942, etc.) and masturbation, if I got into a palladium board, I may just find myself playing again, then I would be forced to quit my job.
