Use google,it's your friend.

It forces you to contribute as you download. The upload can saturate your connection and make things incredibly slow. This can wreak havoc on your LAN.
I think it's worth it, though.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
And some ISPs, like Comcast (what I use, sadly), will boot your IP from the network outright if you saturate upstream for more than a few minutes. Nothing an ipconfig /release + /renew won't fix, but it's damn annoying. Best option is to use something like TheShad0w's Experimental Client to cap your uploads just below saturation to give yourself some breathing room.Hamel wrote:It forces you to contribute as you download. The more people that are DLing, the faster it goes.
Which is why it only works really well with either: A) Fast servers or B) Really popular DLs.

Be aware that reducing your upload will affect your downloadShinova wrote:Third-party Bittorrent clients like Shadow's let you set caps on your upload rate and how many peers you connect to at any time.

History? I love history! First, something happens, then, something else happens! It's so sequential!! Thank you first guy, for writing things down!
