I would imagine that you can make an mechanism that can rotate crystals. Like a Saber Multichanger

Can I get that in so the blade color changes?
In AOTC, during the battle of Genosis, you see Ki Adi Mundi's saber color turn from blue to green to blue.

So it exists. :D

I Beleove that is how some lightsabers are built. In fact its why those Sabers CAN shange their size. In fact Corran Horns LS has Two crystals to acheive this effect. it switches from one to the other to Double its size.

Vader's could also turn from red to white to red again, as demonstrated in ANH.

That was just a trick of the light, it depended on which angle you were looking at it from. in fact if you watch Obi Wans LS in the same movie you can actually see the 'Glass' Rod which the 'laser blade image' was 'painted' over

New blades style: Lava Lamp style. You can customize the colors but obviously red, blue & green are the easiest colors to do. :D

Obi-Wan's ANH sabre is my favorite, followed by Luke's ROTJ sabre.

Corran Horn's byphasic blade (not sure about the name, but one was silver and the other green, IIRC).

That's not a bad idea. I imagine that with the colors being so dissimilar that it might be more difficult to keep track of them visibly, especially the silver blade.

His long green blade was shorted out. By NJO he had silver and long purple.

The length of the blade changes, too. He changed to the long one (I think the silver) to stab a Yuuzhan Vong in the second book of NJO, before fighting a second Vong.

Corran's regular blade is silver. At least it was in I, Jedi. I don't remember the details of the fight in Dark Tide: Onslaught.

I second that...it had an old world feel to it and the hilt was rounded to fit the grip easier...here is a picture...
