Attention, Anime Dorks
I have good news. And bad.
Satoshi Kon's (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress) latest film Tokyo Godfathers is now playing in select theaters, and will be playing in several others throughout February.
The bad news is that the list of theaters is *very* select.
First off, here's the link: Tokyo Godfathers
And for you lazy fucks, the list of cities and days. Sadly, there are no shows in Iowa. Sorry, Spanky, Uts, DPDP, etc.

Thanks Dalton for the time, for it...I know some fellow anime geeks who'll want to see it with me.
Now for rant:
THAT SAME FUCKING THEATRE FOR DC?!
FUCKING PRICKS
!
To put in perspective, this theatre has the look of a bad porno theatre with a screen that maybe, MAYBE 30+ inches....that sits in the upper left hand corner of this pissant little showroom.
Argh...(it's where I saw Cowboy Bebop).

Hmm...well, there's a showing on the 13th. Dalton, in your opinion is it worth driving 50+ miles on Friday the 13th to see this movie?
I do hope GiTS: Innocence in more theatres.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Damn it all, none of the showings are in Pittsburgh, which sucks for me. I don't want to have to go down to DC just to see a movie.

I was fortunate enough to see Millennium Actress at the IMU Bijou at the U of I back in November. It shown with Japanese titles and credits, which made for a very interesting experiance.
I saw it twice in two consecutive days, the second time leaving a lecture early so I could see it just one last time...
But as for TG, I'm sadly going to have to miss out. There's no way in Hell I'm going to either Chicago or Minneapolis just to see a movie, particularly when I'll probably be busy with school work.

Less dramatic, but much, much funnier. The Kernel wrote:Is it as good as Millenium Actress? I haven't even heard of this one until now.
