Yellow cake is NOT the same thing as Lemon cake. Yellow cake is typicaly paired with chocolate frosting and usualy has a hint of vanilla.

I went to a buffet-restaurant a couple of months ago that served green cake. It was vaguely peppermint flavoured. For some reason I was overcome with an irrepressable urge to share this piece of information with you all.

PS: I have absolutely no idea what flavour yellow cake is, although I do have some vague recollection of my Mum buying a maderia cake that had a deciedly yellow tint, when I was a child.

Thank you & good night.
After all, this is completely straightforward. What could possibly go wrong?

No, I'm not on drugs. I'm like this all the time.

Any of you who ever visit Yankee Candle Co., go on and smell their Buttercream candle, and then tell me it isn't the smell of yellow cake baking in the oven. Go on! Just try it! :D

Ugh. I never pair yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I either eat it plain or pair it with whipped cream (and strawberries if I have them). :D

According to my mother, who is wise in the ways of cake, yellow cake is just generic cake flavor. In other words, it's just the basic cake ingredients without any flavoring besides sugar.
