So has anyone had it so far? I just did, and just got over it 24 hours ago.

I feel like shit. And I'm at work for the next 7 hours.

Ugh, yeah, I got whatever this nasty thing is that's going around and it will not go away. I started seeing symptoms on Monday and I'm still sitting here with a sinus headache and stuffed nose on Saturday morning.

I missed finals week of school too.

My nose is running like a faucet, and it feels like a midget is sitting on my chest. Oh, and I have a fever. Next year I'm getting the freakin flu shot!

Never had the Flu, I get a runny nose if it's really cold out, but it's clear so no infection.

I heard the Flu killed quite a few school children in the US these past couple of months.

never in your entire life?? What have you ever had, chicken pox or mono or anything. Geez, and I thought my immune system was good

Never had the Flu either, have had chicken pox, and had a chest infection last year which I weathered without medication, somewhat stupidly as I sounded like a steam engine leaving the platform for three weeks, and lost my voice entirely over christmas with a strong cold, but that's about the rough some of my illness sheet, barring the kidney thing, which doesnt count in the viruses and bugs category.

Got it last year, I was sick for about a week and laid out in bed for about 3 days. I usually come down with the flu every other year, so it looks like I'm good this winter. Might get a few annoying colds from being crammed on public transit but that's about it.

have had Chicken Pox and... well, that's it. Other than the odd case of food poisoning or the Norwalk "shitting bug" virus, I cannot recall any other infection.

I'm 20, so it's early days yet, especially when I want to work with the MoD at Porton Down researching pathogens with a containment rating of upto Level 4.
