The Curse Continues for the Eagles

Post by Captain Kruger »

These poor guys just can't seem to win the NFC Championship. Sorry, Red Imperator.

Sorry is right. That was the sorriest fucking performance I've ever seen out of this team in the playoffs.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I was planning to go back to the ram after the season was over anyway. Considering today's chokejob, I'm in no particular mood to carry their logo beneath my name any longer than I have to.

Well, that's no excuse! LSU beat my team like a drum at the SEC championship a month ago and I didn't get rid of my UGA stuff. Be loyal to your team, they had a great year.

Oh, I haven't gotten rid of my Eagles stuff or anything. Hell, I'm still wearing my Westbrook jersey (who is blameless in this fiasco because he's recovering from surgery). Right now I'm just angry that they blew it again and lost this way. In a month I'll be getting antsy for the new season, but for now, I need a break.

And UGA went on to win a bowl game, so the comparison isn't quite the same.

I stopped watching at halftime.

Looks like '4th and 26' becomes meaningless afterall.

You should never give up that early. How about the Giants-49ers playoff game last year, or the Bills-Oilers in '92? The Bills were down 35-3 in the middle of the 3rd and came back to win in OT, and that was with their backup quarterback.

The problem in Philly is the same as the problem in Atlanta: the superstar quarterback's being expected to carry the offense. We saw what a disaster that was for Atlanta when Vick went down. Philly has a good running back trio, but their receivers are mediocre at best. That's what they need to work on. Especially since their division's only going to get more competitive with Parcells in Dallas and Gibbs back in Washington.

I'm pretty sure the window of opportunity is now closed. But hell, I thought that the past few years as well, so maybe we still have a shot next year.
