Lets see if Eminem sells as much as Metallica or lasts as long! And since when was the God of the Guitar (Jimi Hendrix) a "white kid" ? At least most of these "white kids" actually play their own instruments and write their own music instead of just ripping off an old song for it's "beat" like quite a lot of rappers.

And as for driving, i believe i speak for the majority when i say you can't get much better than Bohemian Rhapsody or Headlong by Queen !

Hip hop is painful to listen to. It is rhythmic but not melodic.

The one quality I look for in music is something that modern hip-hop is missing sorely: originality.

In early 80s, true rap was entertaining because of its originality. The beats were relatively simple, but it was good to listen to because of the intricacy of the rhymes and the incredible flow of the performer. And trust me, a good rapper has a style that is unique to them.

Unfortunately, as a musical style becomes more popular, it becomes more shitty, er, I mean more generic. The rhymes became simpler, the beats became so obnoxious they hurt your ears, and the performers (seeking to out-do their competition) try to be unique not with style, but with using profanity and vile language.

Now, most hip-hop is mostly shit. I would say about 10% is worth a damn, and the rest just plain sucks. And unfortunately, most wiggers seem to embrace the newer, shitty style. At least Eminem has shown appreciation for the old-school rappers who could actually rap.

If you're not a fan of hip-hop or true rap, then the above may not make much sense. But then again, there are probably intricacies of country, metal, or classical that are completely beyond me.

Thank you for your attention. I am now going back to my Miles Davis, Sting, and Run DMC collection.
