Poubelle made me laugh loads the first time i heard it, as i was thinking about a piece of shit with a bell on it to warn people it was coming...made me laugh in french for a whole one lesson that did.

It's actually spelled "fermez." Imperatives are conjugated as second person present. "Fermé" is a past participle.

My favorite English word is defenestrate. It just has a million uses.

German is a tie between "schnell" and "schnitzelbank".

French I guess would be "bagatelle".
