Ok, let's say you find a genie in a bottle and she (heh heh!) grants you three wishes.

Do you think it would be absolutely fair if you said,

1) I want to live in perfect health forever

2) I want a lifetime of unlimited wishes granted from you.

If s/he doesn't specify any restrictions on your wishes, then anything you ask for is fair game.

There are plenty of ways to screw over a genie (just as there are plenty of ways for it to screw you over). I guess that's one of the reasons they don't exist.

My favorite is to always use your third wish to get another genie.

Thats why you need a lawyer to help you draw up a fifty two page affidavit(sp?) of the terms and conditions of wish number one.

Look, you ask for infinite wishes? What happens if you think "Man, I wish [person] was dead", or "I wish someone would just bomb that stupid country already", or, in a moment of despair "I wish I'd never been born"?

I take a week to draft up long pages of my three wishes, which would basically be:

1. Eternal youth and peak health

2. All sorts of powers without averse consequences to myself

3. Automatically resurrect everytime I'm killed

If I had a fourth, I'd use that to free the genie.

If it is a djinn you better wish it goes away and request angels to help you. As Chardok mentioned djinn are extremely evil. They grant their wishes by taking note of the subtle meanings of your words. For example you wish you could win the heart of your lover the djinn would kill them and literaly bring their heart to you.
