Actually, it's primary run lasted up into the 80s. I used to watch it occasionally when I was very young.

That's a bummer. :(

I thought that he died a while back...but still, a bad loss. I remember watching him when I was a kid.

Me too. I was thinking recently about how he'd do in Janeway's place, and was saddened about him being dead. Now I find out he was actually alive until recently. That's a shock.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.

Semper Fi, Captain Kangaroo.

Long ago, before Hoodie Doodie, he was a Marine.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

So did I. I don't remember ever watching the show though, I was Sesame Street and Mr Rogers kind of kid.
