"Poping", eh? :P

I enjoy popping bubblewrap, but I'm not American so I guess that highly significant poll by Fox News excludes my important contribution.

Hell yeah! Half of our equipment at work arrives bubble wrap (the other half comes buried in peanuts, no fun their). We actually had a stockpile of the stuff and we spent a day just finding ways to pop the most bubbles at once!

You can make crazy things out of krazy glue and foam peanuts.

And whenever people send me stuff from Britain for holidays its loaded in bubble warp, and the first thing I do is pop it all. any guesses as to why this is so appealing?

I lay it on the ground and dance on it.

So satisfying, somehow.

The point is to pop it slowly and prolong the fun- not make a huge explosive force of popping bubbles.... though I will be trying that shortly.

Ever seen the type with extra-big pockets, about 2x6 inches? It's marked "Not to be used as a floatation device or pillow", and you can make it pop really loud. Some of my colleagues tried running a car over a strip, here's the results. Extreme bubblewrap popping

Yup, we get those at my work with some shipments. When we pop them it sounds like a tire blowing off a rim. We use them to scare the living shit out of new employees when they're pumping up tires, one guy goes "watch out! That tire's gonna blow!" while another guy pops the air packet behind his back. Gives them heart attacks.

Reminds me of those EOD(Explosive's Ordance Disarm) Tech's storys we used to hear about how they mess with all the new guys with bubble wrap and large things marked "Danger"

I don't know, I find it strangely appealing as well. I just can't stop myself from popping bubble wrap, it's like a compulsive disorder or something but it just has to be done.

I`m not sure if its already done but i think some stores would sell them as a novelty toy, with a catchy name like pop-it.
