Yeah I'm sure thats what you had in mine.
Others speaking: Or we could also use a few billion of that massive defense budget(it is high, even for american defense budgets last year was IIRC 379.3 billion) for financial aid for students, grants to schools, paying for roads etc etc etc.
That's what the other 4/5ths of the budget goes too. Why the fuck should we rob the military of funding? That money is not simply a wish list, it is what is required, and its really too little. It should not be necessary to canacled two dozen programs, just to pay for a replacement for quarter century old tanks and IFV's. Yet that has happened.

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP) has been awarded a system development and demonstration contract to design, produce, and integrate the Joint Strike Fighter’s (JSF) gun system. GDATP is developing an internal and external gun system based on the GAU-12/U 25mm Gatling gun. An internally mounted gun system will arm the F-35A Conventional Takeoff and Landing (CTOL) aircraft variant and an externally mounted gun system will arm the F-35B Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) and F-35C Carrier-Based (CV) aircraft variants.
