Speak for yourself. Though I don't intend to use a sword - or any weapon - in anger, there is always the chance that such a circumstance could evolve and if so, a functional weapon is better than a "wall hanger" sword which cannot be made useful for any purpose except looking pretty.

If you envision a realistic possibility of any such circumstance, you're far better served with a good 12 guage.

Admittedly, it's an extremely remote possibility. If I thought there was a real possibility of me being attacked, I'd buy a gun tout de suite.
