Mara Jade... Well Some of the models they have for Mara don't even have red hair! What's with THAT!!!!

My idea of mara is a cross between these two pics. I am fortunate enough to work with a redhead who, if I do say so myself, is the best version of Mara Jade in my mind, Natural redhead... very very hot.

The closest I can discribe it is to mix the next two pictures together... so you end up with a sort of hybrid.

The painting looks a lot better. The drawings I've seen, like the one on the main site make her look like an 80's Duran Duran video reject. The drawing in the Essential Chronology makes her look strange too.

No Brains? she was kicked the collective asses of half of the cardian millitary. When she emerged with her fleet she had tatical data 10 years out of date and with little or no intelligence sources.

When i came to Darksaber she let her passions rule her in a way no Admiral should

But in both his books i would point out that KJA wrote them and he's an asshole. Maybe Rick Burman in disguise.

If she kicked the Caridan military's ass then they've got be pathetic. She blundered around horribly with the predictable results. If she didn't have enough intel she should have learned more about the situation. If you don't have any idea what's going on you should be launching military operations.

And in Darksaber she just screwed up horribly. It was absolutely pathetic.

Yeah, KJA is one of the all time worst authors. He's a major dickweed and all that... yadda yadda yadda.

That's no excuse for the in-universe actions of his characters.

Carida wasn't whipped by Daala. She failed the economy, was saved by the man who she "happened" to be sleeping with, and was promoted to Admiral. She doesn't kick there ass 7 years after Endor during the JA trilogy either. And even if she did, they only reason an idiot like Daala would be able to is because Carida has only a few capital ships. The Emperor's failed Operation Shadow Hand the year before recalled the ships from Carida.

Painful as it may be, read the jedi accadamy trillogy. when i said she kicked the collective asses of cardia i was talking in simulations when she was a cadet. she had more tatical expertise than the guys who went on to be Admirals and Generals.

And to suggest she got her rank due to letting Tarkin stiff her is jjst silly. The man was a Grand Moff do u think a Moff would give 4 ISD's to a woman just for her ability in the sack?

I think thats what happened. Daala is an armchair Admiral, one that can do fine in the simulator and sucks in the real world. I think Tarkin just took a marginally competent admiral, fucked her, and gave a babysitting job never believing she'd she combat.
