20 Years ago, McDonalds actually had decent tasting, juicy Quarter Pounders.
Today's Quarter Pounder is warmed over cardboard. Dry, tasteless, and sits in the gut like a rock.

McD's food is nothing like what they had then. It wasn't the best, but it was at least edible.

Today it's all about marketing and the food flat out sucks ass.

If it weren't for all of the TV influenced kids dragging their parents to McDonald's, the chain might have gone under years ago.

Blah. My kids think I'm nuts but me and the wife can't stand McD's. The once a year or so we let them talk us into it we end up with a chicken burger or something and the kids get their happymeals.

The kids then proceed to eat their frys and play with their cheesey toy while only about 1/2 of their burgers get consumed. Even they don't really like the burgers, they just like the toys and the big play ground thingy.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. I'd love to shoot a documentary about cigarettes. Sure, I have to brush my teeth five times a day and have a nasty cough...but it's a small price to pay.

How can you eat McDonald's that much? At most, I have it once a week, that's if I have it during the week at all. That's disgusting.

I absolutely cannot stomach McDonald's burgers. They're quite disgusting...........however........

I really like the bagel, egg, and bacon with cheese sandwich in the mornings. Good thing I only eat them once in a while. :?

You eat anything for that length and you'll fuck yourself up. It's called not eating a balanced diet, and as toxic as Mackie Ds can be, I don't see how this proves anything other than a) the guy is an idiot, but accepted into society for his potential Darwin Award comedy experiment, and b) eating shit for months on end fucks you up.

Gee, hand this guy a Nobel prize, he may be onto something.

And for the record:

And about the snake venom, what kind of snakes we talkin' here? I certainly wouldn't want to be exposed to even the smallest amount of neurotoxin, though a hematotoxin would be slightly more reasonable. :P

The hemotoxin in rattlesnake venom primarilly. Some people can build up a tolerance to it through repeated exposure. I've also seen people get increased allergic reactions through repeated exposure, at least to the antivenin so I think it's still best to never get bit.

I actually thought they improved the Quarter Pounder in the late 80s. It seems more like a burger now. Still, if I got to McDonalds I don't generally go for the burgers. Of course I don't consider a Big Mac a burger since it hardly has any meat on it. It's just some burger like sandwich.

My personal gut rotting artery clogging Mc Death sandwich is the spicy chicken sandwhich. It's small, cheap, actually has some flavor and they don't waste my time by putting pickles or tomatoes on it. Of course the "spices" in it almost always end up giving me a stomach ache but it's a good reminder not to eat at McDonalds very often. :)

You're probably right. Being cheap and fast helps, plus they've got market saturation over their competators but it's interesting when you see McD's changing things when it's clear that someone has made inroads into their turf. The most recent example I can think of is the refromulation  of the McNuggets. When they first came out no one had anything like them. Kids love the things and the two main servings available really were only suitable for kids. Now the servings are the same but the nuggets aren't copressed bits of groundup chickens anymore. There are too many other places that serve chicken nuggets or strips that are a hell of a lot better than those at McDonalds. The McDonalds' nuggets you absolutely have to eat hot and with sauce.

My vote for absolute nastiest McDonald's sandwich is for the McRib. There's a reason that thing is not on the regular menu and only comes back every so often. That is so all the people who've tried it before will forget that they start feeling nauseous when they get half way through the thing.

Some of the stuff there isn't that bad, but I don't know why people pay to eat the burgers there. The only fast-food chain that I've gone to that gets their burgers right is Wendy's, and there aren't any around my area.

Still, common sense should tell you not to live on a diet of fast-food. Unfortunately, there are so many people out there that lack common sense.

In Australia the healthy food trend has hit hard. McD bought out a huge range of salad health things. It all looks rather revolting.

I thought that I had heard that McDonalds owns a chain of crappy fast Chinese resturants.

I was also wondering if the guy in the movie ever bought any of their salads?
30 days of McD's three times a day I think I would have to get the salads at least a couple of times within the first week and then I'd be eating those all the time and I've never had a McDonald's salad before.

In the past there were one or two times where I ate at McDonald's for 3 meals in a day. Considering how I felt after that I can't imagine how awful this guy felt after eating nothing but McDonald's.

And the rediculous selling of breakfast cereals. They sell a tiny serving for the price you could by a whole box of cereal for, which you can eat in the comfort of your own home, why on earth would anyone want to eat cereal at McD's?

It wasn't Chinese resturants it is Mexican Resturants. In that case the opinions about the Mexican food at the Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants is going to have to be weighed against all the great locally owned Mexican restaurants that are around where I live. :)
McDonald's Corporation operates in the foodservice industry and primarily operates and franchises quick-service restaurant businesses under the McDonald's brand. These restaurants serve a varied, yet limited, menu in 119 countries worldwide. Approximately 80% of McDonald's restaurants and about 75% of the total revenues of its restaurants are in nine markets: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan (a 50%-owned affiliate accounted for under the equity method), the United Kingdom and the United States. The Company also operates other restaurant concepts under its partner brands: Boston Market, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Donatos Pizzeria, which are all located primarily in the United States. In addition, it has a minority ownership interest in United Kingdom-based Pret A Manger. In March 2002, McDonald's sold its Aroma Café business in the United Kingdom

Considering McD's prices, there is no excuse for being surprised by substandard quality products.

I rest my case.

Thanks for pointing out the bad spelling I pronounce it Mac Donoalds so thats way I spelled it.
I think his point was that McDonalds' isn't the USA's premier fast-food joint. While its certainly one of the most popular, every suburb or city has some local place that is always vastly superior to the globe-spanning franchises.

Myself, I've sworn off fastfood, except for an occasional hamburger from a local grill, some pizza from the thousands of local pizza places, and, of course, the occasional Philly cheesesteak.

Nope. McDonald's owns a chain of "deluxe" Mexican fast food joints called Chipotle (they try to hide the corporate association as much as they possibly can). Chipotle, unlike McDonald's, actually serves reasonably good food.

Chin's Asia Fresh, a relatively new asian fast food franchise (only four stores yet) owned by Twin Cities restauranteur Lee Ann Chin.

Of the three major American burger franchises, McDonald's is the only one I can't stand. I never cared for the burgers, even as a kid, the milkshakes are bland, and the fries are substandard compared to Wendy's or Burger King.

Here BK had to shut down for complete renovations, major healthcode violations. Not once but twice. In the same year!

Guess if I eat at BK?

Oh and McD sucks, why go there when the small grill has better and ceaper burgers.

I haven't eaten McDonalds food in a year, if memory serves me correctly. I didn't even like eating there as a kid.

I eat Chik-fil-A sandwiches a good amount, but mostly because one of my cousins owns and runs one, and family members have this way of getting free food.

Chick-Fil-A is a pretty good company, and their food is really good, in my opinion. I would consider working for their accounting office after graduation if I were Christian.
