Good shows from Fox
"The Simpsons" was once one of the best, if not THE best show on television. It's declined, but it's far from being a bad show.
"Futurama" never made me laugh. Don't get me wrong, it's a good show. I just don't much like the concept. It was certainly not deserving of a cancellation.
"Family Guy" is currently my favorite. It's almost as good as the Simpsons was at it's best. So of course, it was cancelled too.
We can ignore the reality shows for a moment. We all know that they exist, but they are disqualified by being, you know, the opposite of good shows.
Then you have "Married with Children." It was entertaining enough at the time. Not in the same league as the others.
Can't think of any others I've liked. "Malcolm in the Middle", "King of the Hill", and "That 70s Show" all annoy me in one way or another.
How would you compare these shows? Which is the best, and the worst?

For me Simpsons, Futurama, S:A&B, X-Files(some seasons I immensely enjoyed), Firefly, Married with Children are all I've enjoyed of Fox.
The ones that annoy me would be a waste of my time to list....so I'll just say "A lot."

I vote for bringing back married with children. I also mentioned before that I miss titus, which split my sides nearly every episode. (I love Stacy Keach, and he has a great documentary narrative voice) Futurama was semi-okay, but nothing spectacular, and honestly I don't understand why you guys liked Family Guy so much. It wasn't all that funny. I never watched Space Above and Beyond, either *ducks* HEY! FUCK YO-*pan hits face*

The best episodes are from a few years before that. I want to say around seasons 4 and 5, but I really don't remember the years off the top of my head. The best way for me to figure it out is by Scully's haircut.Demiurge wrote:I watched a little of X-Files. It's a good show, but not one of my favorites.
EDIT: I should also note that most of the X-Files I have seen has been from the last two seasons.

I didn't see it until the whole series (half a season's worth of episodes) was put out on DVD. Now I love it. Highly recommended.Demiurge wrote:I never had a chance to watch Firefly. I wasn't a fan of Whedon yet.
It had already jumped the shark by then. Try the earlier seasons. They're being rebroadcast everywhere.Demiurge wrote:I watched a little of X-Files. It's a good show, but not one of my favorites.

seasons 1-3 were excellent for the x-files. anything after that was. . . .eh. i really lost interest after season 3. that and they kept mucking up the scheduling for it.
