Saw that on the CBC this morning, doesn't really matter as the batter is the best bit. The bit I found funny was how they were saying over and over again there was no danger of it being contaminated if cooked properly, and KFC getting rid of the chicken.

It's a good PR move, and hell, if it's successful enough, they might be able to expand their business in SE Asia.

Not that I know of.

Long John Silver's has both fish and chicken, though.

No, it's a well known fact they have jack shit in the way of hygiene in a lot of the places such diseases like this occur. Same with the West too, BSE only arrived because of funny health practices.

The poorer provinces in China and Indonesia etc. have open markets with mud and people all over the place. Some farmers even sleep amongst their live stock, hence the new wave of diseases passing to humans.

Pandora's Box has been opened on this one, with the Thai gov't being as incompetent as the Chinese one in their cover-up, we may never contain this.

I'll just state again this is no overblown shit like SARS, this thing actually has killed millions of humans in months.

Okay, why was I thinking "Kentucky Fried Frog?" Besides the fact that frog legs taste like chicken legs except with a little swamp to them. . .

So, I haven't had KFC in. . .ever, so I wouldn't know if it would be a good thing or a bad thing to bring fish over here.

This isn't SARS, there is no effective way to quarantine this thing. See, the WTO would have a problem with us stopping people moving outside of their own houses for a few months around the world.

But if some humans are infected and come here poof we`ll have it spread fast, then Shrubby will have the Canadian/US border locked.

That's too bad, but there's nothing you can do except stop all travel across your borders. The SARS outbreak didn't exactly fill me with confidence over Canada's handling of the problem.

We fully disclosed the problem, had hospitals properly quarantined, and screened incoming passangers to Pearson. It's not perfect, granted, but a damn sight better than what China did.

China wanted to save face by dealing with the outbreak, even if it was a totally new disease, themselves. That however did them more harm. Anything Canada did would make them handle it better than China did in the first months then a major gov't reshuffle made things go smoothly again.

Very probably right, but it was simple gov't motives to keep the trade flowing and the panic down that lead to an even bigger problem.
