Enough Snow for You?

Well, it's been snowing for almost 36 hours now where I live, and the snow is still coming down good. I am now happy, it's cold, it's windy, and it's snowing good. And my GF's sister is still stuck at my house but that's another story. I haven't seen this much snow in over 10 years, this is wonderful. Finally, a real winter. So...how much snow are you guys getting?

thankfully (i hate snow personally) it hasn't been snowing that much where i live. however it has snowed on and off, like on sunday. sudden downpour and then quit by morning. the most snow we've had in my city was last year (03) when we had a 48 hour bout of snow where some places got up to 4 feet.

For about two weeks from 27 December 03 to whenever two weeks later was, the Willamette Valley in Oregon got over a foot of snow in places, even on the valley floor. There was continual snow on the ground for those two weeks. This had not happened before in my lifetime.

It snowed lightly all day yesterday, so there's a few inches on the ground.

Unfortunately, it's also so extremely fucking cold outside...

We just got a decent amount of snowfall here, after about 3 weeks of non-stop cold from the damn valley inversion. It took out all the smog trapped in the stagnant air, but at the same time the temperature dropped, so no good.

School cancelled today (it was an exam, so that works out well) and we've got about a foot of new snow on top of about two of old. I'm waiting for the plough to come by before shovelling though.

I think the snow I'm getting now is headed in your general direction, but I haven't checked the long range radar maps.

The temperature went above -10°C today for the first time in weeks. Our daytime highs have averaged around -10 to -15 with cold spells going down to -23 or so. These are daytime highs, without windchill, with the windchill well, it's a little nippy. Nights were just plain freakin' cold. When you get ice buildup on the inside of double glazed argon-filled low-e glass windows, it's cold.

Colorado is up to its usual antics; it snowed like mad a few days ago, now it's almost melted because it's about ~60 degrees F.

depends on what part of colorado you live in. i'm in Denver right now, and there's still an assload of snow on the ground. not as much as on Sunday, but enough to be unpleasant.

In Toronto, we don't think it's really cold unless the snot freezes inside your nose within 10 seconds of walking outside. And in Regina, they think we're soft.

Not a lick of snow to speak of here... It's been around 40 degrees here for the last couple days so the ground's too warm for the snow we have gotten to stick...

Maybe three or four inches on the ground right now with up to six more possible tonight. Not too big a deal, overall. The plows will have most of it taken care of before most people leave for work. The real problem is the ice, especially on the back roads, and it's going to sleet tonight.

Here in Pittsburgh, it's riding the freezing point, so it's fucking snowing and raining AT THE SAME TIME, or alternating between snowing and raining. This sucks, because if it weren't for our salt guys working around the clock, we'd be under a few layers of ice. It's insane.
