12 hour shifts? Jesus Christ, man. What do they have you doing?

Definitely no survivors. Everyone was either shot in a fatal location, shot multiple times, or with an RPG. Any way you look at it spells death.

Btw, has anyone seen or heard anything from Utsanomiko? It's not a big problem, since it's in Stavis' character to just disappear (we'd have to assume he broke the psychic suggestion) and then we could work him in later.

He also didn't mention Stavis....I think that's because he was focusing on the gun-toting mercenaries, not the teep and the thief. You know, the people getting paid the big bucks. ;)

Also, I think you might want to check with Arthur and Corsec before taking over characters they've been running thus far, but that's just me.

Yeah, but he was brought back with Doctor Ham, not Stacey, who was the person being interrogated concerning her choice of mercenaries and so forth.

Since the good Doctor was not amongst the mercs brought by Stacey, he wasn't mentioned in her report of the mercs that she aquired.

Encouragement for Blaine

Post by Marcao »

Blaine: *looking a little ill*
Ernesto: *glancing at Blaine as he begins the process of looking for anything useful in the dead bodies* listen Blaine, I am not sure how familiar you are with death, but you do get used to it. *turning over a dead body, the shocked expression on the man's face noted* nice. *pulling the corpse's watch, wallet and weapons* wait a minute, looks like this one might have some cybernetics. *pulling out his combat knife and glancing at Blaine* do you want to do it?
Blaine: *goes wide eyed at the idea*
Ernesto: *shrugs* guess not. *starts to make an incision into the corpse, blood oozing out of the wound*
Blaine: *walks away quickly*
Ernesto: *continues his work* Blaine! you are missing the best part! *sighing softly* Americans...

Oh, I haven't forgotten you (or Stavis). As others have indicated, Stacey isn't the one who aquired you. Besides, didn't she ride with you and the good Dr Ham in that pretty '57 Bel Air? Everyone had plenty of time to talk then... 8D

You'll be figuring into something I'm planning. Sort of. In a sideways kind of way.

I only borrow characters for expository dialogue and action. If anything might interfere with the plot, I'll leave it to Arthur. I have yet to say to him "Stacey wouldn't say that! You're pillaging my beautiful character! You bastard! Get your grubby paws offa her!"

Yet.

Of course, I should add that I try to leave some bread crumbs for him to follow, should he turn into the GM of Satan or something.

Blaine: *broods about the meaning of life amidst the dead*
Ernesto: *glancing at Blaine as he begins the process of looking for anything useful in the dead bodies* Listen, Blaine, I am not sure how familiar you are with death, but you do get used to it. *turning over a dead body, the shocked expression on the man's face noted. grins wide* Nice. *pulling the corpse's watch, wallet and weapons, spies something shiny* Wait a minute, looks like this one might have some cybernetics. *pulling out his combat knife and glancing at Blaine. he pauses a millimeter before breaking the skin* Oh. Apologies. Did you want to do it?
Blaine: *is totally apalled*
Ernesto: *shrugs* guess not. *starts to make an incision into the corpse, blood oozing out of the wound*
Blaine: *walks away quickly, leaving a Blaine shaped cut out in the wall*
Ernesto: *continues his work* Blaine! you are missing the best part! *sighing softly* Americans...[/quote]

There, fixed it for you.

Nothing too difficult. It's just twelve hours of it. On top of the time it takes to drive there and back, it's over 14 hours of my day that I don't get back. The good news is that the schedule rotates, so I don't work more than three days in a row without at least two days off. It sounds bad, but I've had worse gigs.

Are we at a point where it's a free form role playing, or do we still in turn mode?

I have a strong wariness (if not an actual outright dislike) of freeform. During the non-combat/high intensity times the strict turn system isn't necessary, but I don't want to see 2 players filling up a whole page with actions, etc. when no one else is on without giving others the chance to participate. Also I like the pace of approximately 1 turn per day, and would not like to have to check the board and the thread more often than that.

I only ask because last time it was like pulling teeth to get us to post. We kept waiting for you to call End and Next turn or something.

Hey, are you saying I talk too much?

8)

Edit to add:

On the days that I do work, I won't be able to make posts of great import. But as I said earlier, I don't work too many days in a row.

OK, we can move a few steps in the direction of freeform, but I reserve the right to call shennanigans :D

Filtering out the sound, Blaine catches the end of a short conversation within the vehicle.
Wow, that's some pretty sweet software I got in my noggin! I feel like Dare Devil!

Sorry about that. I set it in a different color for that very reason. I didn't italicize all of it because it wasn't just me thinking. I probably should have set it aside more like a flashback or something. Apologies.
