Swore as the PRID agents had boarded the bus, what the hell were they doing here with the Apparations causing chaos. He lowered his hat and as they came to his seat charged out of the seat, shoving the PRID soldier into the seat opposite him. Marcus then charged the soldier in the aisle and smashed him through the front window. Marcus turned and blasted the door off the hinges. Marcus rushed outside in time to see Alytar appear out of thin air. His mind reeled for a moment and then he backed away, he knew what he needed to do to get out of here.

"My God! Are you another one of them?! Oh Christ don't kill me! God I don't want to die, that psycho with swords in there almost killed me! He's torturing those poor guards and everyone else!"

With that Marcus screamed and ran away.

Alytar looked at the two injured soldiers, and then looked at the man who fit the description of the man he was looking for... And he wasnt detecting swords with his pit organs except for the man who just ran... simple inductive reasoning.... He teleported the man back in front of him.

The apparition alert signals buzzed like hell in the van, Agent Donna Drake muttered "Damn! No time for this!" But she still opened the roof of the van and began shooting capture webs at the apparitions showing up near the PRID building.

Marcus blinked for a moment as he found himself running from the same place he'd been no more than a few seconds ago. Without a second thought Marcus turned and blasted the creature with a blast. It flew back and crashed into a tree, smashing through it and hitting the wall behind it. Marcus blinked for a moment as the creature got to his feet.

"Maybe I underestimated you..." With that Alytar reinforced his field, strong enough to deal with the second blast, that Marcus fired, this time Alytar went through the wall and through a few of the inner walls before he came to a stop.

"Man, I was gonna let you live. Now I'm just pissed."

Alytar got back up and hopped out from the hole in the wall.

"I am much more durable than you humans are... though I will have to be a bit more prepared."

marcus threw another blast and Alytar simply danced out of the way, teleported about 100 feet up, and lauched a quick(as in rapid fire DBZ syle blasts) barrage of magic misiles.

Teleported back to the ground, and smacked Marcus upside the head before the energy bolts struck

He then rienforced his shield and prepared to teleport out of the way to avoid any more pain.

"Whatever." Mancer said after Hank finished his rant. Something about him having higher authority. But she knew she could overrule nearly anybody in the organization.

Then the man suddenly pressed his head-set to his ears, then shouted "Crap, they found him! COME ON!" He bolted out of the room, with his companion closely following him.

Mancer picked up the phone. "Marcus has been located, sent a detachment along with them... Oh, and please try to avoid all incidents of friendly fire."

She turned back to Dorian.
"So, where were we?"

Wraith opened the door to the cargo area on his SUV. He took out his Kevlar vest, two MP-5 k and put them in custom made hip holsters, he took out his P-90 and slung it across his back. He closed the door and looked around the parking lot. He put on his trenchcoat and teleported him self until he reached the top of the Washington Monument.

"Well lets see who shows up."

Marcus looked up at Alytar as he fired blasts, he jumped back and activated his barrier as the fish came up to hit him. The slap did less then nothing, the blasts themselves as well were shrugged off by Marcus, though he did fly back some. He turned to see Alytar, he fired a precise blast which aimed straight for the fish's eye. As expected it dissappeared. Marcus felt something off with something behind him and pulled his katana and swung it, the fish creature ducked and then jumped as Marcus himself jumped backwards and fired a blast at whre Alytar had been.

The explosion however, caught Alytar off gaurd and both flew back, it was a full powered blast from Marcus. Marcus was lucky he still had his field up, he flew a good 100 meters backwards and went through a building before coming to a stop against a car. He slowly got to his feet. Alytar himself had been thrown back and high into the air, the blast had dazed both quite a bit, so by the time Alytar had regained his senses he had gone through a tree and a few taller buildings. Alytar shook his head, that blast had pushed him a good 200 meters away from where the fight had been. Alytar quickly teleported to where the fight was. It was horrendous. The bus that had been tehre was completely gone, it looked as if a giant bomb had gone off in the middle of D.C. A dozen buildings, if not far more than that, had been completely wiped from existance, the death toll must be horrendous, and the crater was giant. Worse then all that was with all the smoke and death in the air it was almost impossible to get an accurate reading on where Marcus was.

Marcus slowly got to his feet as his barrier died. "Jesus christ... That hurt..." Marcus walked over to a nearby car, broke into it and collapsed into the driver seat, the only thing keeping him awake was his will to get out of this place.

Wraith snapped his head around towards the explosion. He teleported to where it happened. He saw two, what appeared to be tunnels, smashed through buildings. He ported down one of the tunnels. He saw a bruised and battered man inside of a car. He ran over to him.

"Hey are you alright?" He asked the man.

The man however drove off. Wraith Teleported himself back to the Monument.

Somewhere Over Europe

His private jet was currently cruising at twenty seven thousand feet in its approach towards Sweden. The entire situation with the apparitions was getting a bit out of hand, and he had kept well in touch with the news. The PRID was getting its own fair share of problems, and with its apparent turmoil certain openings were available. He sighed softly, his eyes closing as he leaned back into the leather seat beneath him. He had a very productive couple of days, his mind thinking of some of what he had done.

With the PRID in disarray, he had decided it was the perfect time to help himself to a few promises he had made. The first thing that he had done, was to infiltrate PRID headquarters in Paris, France and help himself to a copy of certain files they kept within their database. The actual penetration of their physical defenses had been easy enough; his stealth suit had proven to be more than adequate in bypassing most of the counter measures he had found. The fact that he had as an ex-PRID officer an insider’s view on those defenses was an added benefit. It seemed that the bulk of the PRID units in France were too busy dealing with the apparitions to keep a tight lid on their headquarters. By the time anyone had discovered the intrusion, he was already on his way to his next objective.

His task in London had been far more personal; the current ambassador from London to the United States and himself had bad blood. The truth was of course that the current ambassador had been one of his superiors back in the good old US of A before the contacts he had sown in the PRID had paid off. Now, he was happily representing his country of origin. It was all a matter of waiting for him to show his face on his study before he put a 7.62 round through his skull. He had been in the airport by the time the body had been found, and his private plane was already in the air when the police began their investigation. They would find relatively little of value in his chosen sniper spot, for he knew PRID and police procedure well, and he took active steps to find who was behind the attack difficult. As a matter of fact, the single hair he had dropped belonged to a female that should be rather interesting.

His eyes opened, his head turning towards the right as he looked out of the window of his plane and to the ground below. His eyes slid towards his wrist, the watch there reminding him that in an hour or so he should be landing in Sweden. He had business there, his eyes glancing towards his left at the pair of CD’s that laid there. A soft smile dancing on his lips.

He looked at the entrance, where all of that Hanks persons ran.
"Well, as I was saying earlier, I could try and help you. I've got some time, before I return to London. I think we should keep a close watch on Hank. If you'd like to join me?"
He turned towards the door, and waited for Mancer.

K'thar sat in the chamber of the Training laboratory inside PRID HQ, idly tumbling a metallic sphere, watching it change states from solid ball, to a liquid not unlike quicksilver, then back to another shape. a cube one time, a pyramid the next.

"Well, K'thar," Jeff Prosser said over the PA system, "That was the last of the tests, man."

"Well, good!" K'thar said.

"Tomorrow you get to show off for the brass!" Jeff siad excitedly, as K'thar strode out of the chamber. He was more thickly muscled than before, and his walk was more confident. the time he had spent in PRID training had not allowed much free time, but he had managed to keep up with current events. he was amazed at the extent his powers had matured and the level of control he had over them now. Even Jeff Prosser, the head physiologist in the PRID lab was impressed, and was eager to show the "People upstairs" as he called them, how much progress was made. "Um, by the way, K'thar, we've got something for you."

"Oh! For me? you shouldn't have! Kidnapped, forced to work against my will, my fortune gone, all hopes of me getting home lost, and you have something for ME?! Why, THANK YOU!"

"Smartass." Prosser said offhandedly.

both walked over to a locker near the back of the laboratory. Jeff slid in a key to a heavy lock, opening the door. inside was what appeared to be a padded grey and black camo suit.

"It's umm, specially made, see?" prosser picked up the outfit, which was quite long, tailored to fit K'thar's frame. "in theory, it should allow you to operate normally in the sun, for longer than normal periods of time. (ooc, picture the suit from Dune movie, only urban camo) See? this part here," Prosser flipped up the back part, "Goes over your head and face. there are optics with IFF, rear hazard warning, all kinds of neat new tech in this baby. It won't impede your vision, either!"

"Well," K'thar said "Camo is out this season, but I suppose it'll have to do." K'thar always did want a "proper" superhero outfit, and it seemed now that he finally had a signature suit. perhaps there would be a comic book about him someday!

"At any rate," Prosser said, "You've got a briefing to go to right now, something up in DC-again."

"Good." K'thar said. "Time to mix things up a bit, eh?"

"You bet," Prosser replied. "You're going to fuck some shit UP!" Prosser almost couldn't contain his pride. He had taken this unsure alien with extraordinary powers, and taught him to focus and amplify it. pumped gigabytes of crap into his head regarding PRID protocols, vehicles, etc. K'thar was now a PRID agent in every sense of the word. a special agent, and now he was ready for an assignment. and he was going to get that assignment!

Together the two friends walked down the long hallway towards the briefing room, chatting the whole way, the corridor occasionally echoing with laughter every now and again.

Luckily, Alytar had senses other than sght to work with, his lateral line organ picked up the pressure waves of movement and he heard the tumb of a man getting into a car seat. He teleported to the location and saw a battered marcus getting into the car

He put another barrier up....

"Now do we really want to continue this to its ultimate end or do we want to come peacefully?'

ALytar picked up a piece of debris

"I would take me but a thought to teleport this inside your skull"

Marcus looked around to see the fish thing looking at him again.

"No hard feelings or anything... but... no. I am a contract wrker more or less, I have a vested interest in bringing you in, especially now that there are..." Alytar looks around, and sniffs the air, taking in what his senses are telling him
"537 more deaths to your name. I bring you in, and I never have to deal with PRID again. So what is it going to be? You come in peacefully, or does the rock put to much pressure on the inside of your skull?"

It had taken a couple of minutes, but finally Hank, Ragam, and about ten heroes were running down into the crater of wreckage. Sirens were screaming in the back-ground, but the most pressing matter of the moment was bringing in Marcus dead or alive, preferably Dead though.

When he finally saw Alytar Hank shouted, "Where is he?"

Mancer looked at a clock on the wall.
"Well, I've got a meeting with somebody... Maybe later."

Mancer stepped outside of the room, and left the building on foot. She stood around at the bus stop until one came by, and she entered it. Her destination - Washington Monument.

He saw Mancer go, and thought he'd go to look for that Hank person.
He walked to his limousine, and told his driver to head for that explosion now clearly visible due to the little dust cloud in the air.
When he arrived, he saw people running around, and after a quick check found Hank with some obscure creature in front of a car.

"Hello, Mr. Hank it is right?" He looked down on him. "We didn't have the chance to get aquainted, I'm afraid, in the headquarters. I hope you're enjoying it here?"

"No, not in the least. Nice to meet you too, sorry to have seemed so angry then but I had a pressing threat before, which is now not so pressing. Now if you excuse me my kind proffessor, and my friend here are going to help my unit bring this guy in to be, detained permanetly, after which I would be more then willing to meet and have small talk."

Hank then opened the car door, picked up the limp body of Marcus, and holding him up in a rather painful, for Marcus, armlock started carrying huim back towards the headquarters.

Had acted unconcious until he was picked up, a well timed field had protected himself from being knocked out. With a deft swing, although painful, he slipped out of Hank's grasp and punched him. He ran to his door.

Marcus openned the door of his car right into the back of one of the Heroes then shot a blast in Alytar's back, it wasn't enough to really even hurt the fish creature but it was enough to disorient the creature for a few seconds that he needed. Marcus pulled himself back into the car and began to drive away, swerving back and forth both to keep the shots from hitting him, but also to keep that fish from dropping a rock in his head. He did not account however, for Hank's expert shot and he was lucky he was wanted alive, because Hank pulled out his weapon and fired, blowing out one of the wheels of the car. The car pulled to far to the right and flipped over on it's back, then back up on it's wheels, throwing Marcus around like a ragdoll and slamming his head against the window hard enough to knock him out.

"Bastard. Well, now that that's done, Proffessor would you do the honors and teleport us all back to the Head-Quarters?"

Hank offered his hand to the dis-oriented Hero who had been knocked to the ground, pulling him up gently, and then brushing himoff.

"After we get him there, we need at least five men watching him with full automatic weapons at all times."
