How Did you Find Stardestroyer.net ??
Moderator: Edi
Fooling around on Google one day I stumbled on this site about a year ago. LOVED the hatemail page and kept checking regularly for updates. I liked the way Mike thought and his site was extremely entertaining, it was through here that I discovered the world beyond, like ASVS and so forth.
His fanfic also inspired me to write mine. I said "Hey I always wanted to do one of these." and lo and behold I am living my dream.
All thanks to SD.Net.

Read through the site. Followed the semi-regular updates to the site.salm wrote:what have you been doing here? were there regular updades?Stormbringer wrote:

Did the same thing on SWTC for even longer. I've even made a few contributions to Curtis's site.

The friend? Well, he's the roommate of Nick, but doesn't post himself.

I must have been reading Saxton's site, years ago (did it exist in 1995-1996? can't remember, but probably around those dates). Then I think I wanted some more hard data about Millenium Falcon, so I found some page with blueprints. It had also info on lightsabers, I think it was that page with the space fork in it, but back then it had this ugly black background and lame lightsabers as horizontal separators
Somehow I ended up here. I guess it would be from a link in that page. I've been reading this whole site since it appeared. Then as I finished reading every single line of text I let it rest for a long time, so I gave it a rest. Only about a month ago I discovered the BBS, I think it was fairly new (june-july?) so I signed in and here I am.

I was searching the net for some info on Star Destroyers about a year ago on Google and I just came accross it. I remember I was totally blown away by the ammount of info on the site and the attention to scientific detail aswell.
Before I found this site, I always figured a Stardestroyer would beat the Enterprise D/E... but just barely. I never fully realized just how much better Star Wars weapons and tech in general was compared to ST. But once I read through most of Mikes site, I just thought, "Hey, you know what, not only does this guy know what he's talking about, but all of it just seems so common sense! I can't believe what an idiot ive been all this time!"

I was reading an article on racism in Star Wars. I decided to search for other opinions and stumbled upon Darth Wong's essay on racism in SW and ST.
Oh yeah:

You guys have probably already read this but that was the article. I thought it was funny yet kind of disturbing. No concept of the history of SW.

Hmm. Let's see a white guy played him in the OT. A Maori kid played him in AOTC. Yup must be an Arab. Stupid fucks.

I was searching for infos on Star Destroyers and other SW imp capships
since I wanted to do a comprehensive website with info on them, well that was about 3 1/2 years ago and the site was fairly new back then.
Later I gave up the website plan, though, but being a SW fan I kept visiting SD.net from time to time.
Well I was lurking in the background of the SWvsST debate for 3 years now and then when SD.net got the board I decided to finally reveal my presence......
everything has proceeded as I have forseen.

My brother used to talk about it so one day while in a computer pod with a friend we joined.
"Once again we wanted our heroes to be simple, grizzled everymen with nothing to lose; one foot in the grave, the other wrapped in an American flag and lodged firmly in a terrorist's asshole."
