That would be a good reason why the UN is a farce. Its ludicrous balance of power on the Security Council (and the fact that very important nations--for instance Germany and Japan) are not afforded additional status on the Council even though they are OBVIOUSLY more powerful and important than small African nations, makes the United Nations toothless to deal with real issues that the Permanent Members of the Security Council are heavily interested in. The territory Israel currently occupies was taken when some countries were dumb enough to declare war on a country with superior air and land forces. Israel continues to abide by all articles of the Geneva Convention concerning the governance of occupied territory.
