And with this, Disney animation is officially worthless.

Oh, boo hoo for Disney. Looks like the Mouse is going to loose a hefty chunk of change, while this won't hurt Pixar. Disney had better find some real talent, or give Studio Ghibli a really good blow job if they want to cash in on good animation.

Hey, maybe this'll be the spur Disney needs to get of its ass and release the movies it has the rights for.

Pixar's been driving Disney's profits for years. It's a huge loss for them.

Incidentally, I'd be willing to bet that Disney will address this problem by giving Michael Eisner a raise.

Emperor Eisner must be deposed before Disney gets around to anything else. He's practically destroyed the company since he started.

Walt has been doing 360s in his grave ever since Eisner took over.

Disney isn't worth scheisse anymore. Maybe this'll just nail the lid in the coffin.

YAY!

I lost my last spot of respect for disney when they banned legitimate imports of foreign films they owned the domestic rights to.

When was the last good non-Pixar Disney animated film released?

I rather liked Lilo & Stitch, though that was the first good one in years, in my opinion.

Oh it got worse than that. They even sent cease and desist letters to places that tell you where you can buy a copy legally.

Roy Disney is trying to do that. I hope he's successful, because I hate seeing Disney, and Walt's dream going down the tubes.

of course you know who owns PIXAR?

George Lucas

He may have gotten tired of Eisner and his "policies" Eisner Got control of Disney in a Lawsuit just after Disney died because Roy was only a teenager and he asserted that he was too young to run the company. Eisner then made sure Roy had no power in the company and then set himself up so that Disney could not fire him. I have no respect for the man

I think Finding Nemo was one of theirs.

Wasn't that technically Pixar that did all the work?

I'm thinking of stuff that only Disney did.

Toy Story, Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo. These all belong to PIXAR. If they Drop Disney Disney has to give up the rights. That was part of the agreement. Lucas never gave up onership of this former branch of ILM. They just agreed to let Disney market the movies for them because PIXAR was not an established name. Now they are. Disney will have to learn the hard way that they have to play nice with their cash cows that they do not actually own.

Of course this would explain the sudden rush of PIXAR films on the Disney Channel
