Kerry's VVAW (Vietnam Veterans Against the War) participated in numerous Communist demonstrations in which the American flag was desecrated, burned and urinated on. Huge flags of the Viet Cong, the Communist terrorist enemy in Vietnam, were a mainstay of the treasonous rallies. At one demonstration co-sponsored by Kerry and the VVAW, leaders of the Black Panther party - a Marxist gang of white-hating cop-killers from America's ghettos, whose numbers included Huey Newton - called from the speaker's podium for the destruction of "racist pig America."

I'd like to see the support of this. If so, it sounds pretty damning, if not, then it's a steaming pile of festering dung.

Kerry flip-flops too much which irritates, and my parents really don't like him (and McCain) because of this

Kerry's history is interesting. It will be interesting to see what Karl Rove can dig up for the inevitable campaign commercials.

OK, let's clarify some issues:

1) Flip-flop: derogatory term, normally used to imply that someone is contradicting himself. It would accurately describe someone simultaneously holding two contradictory positions.

2) Changing one's mind: positive term, normally used to imply that someone is not so full of hubris that he is willing to admit error and revise his viewpoint. It would accurately describe someone who has a position and then has a different position at a later date after new information comes to light.

3) Voting record: fodder for spin doctors and political attack dogs, who tend to ignore the fact that the name of a bill and its advertised intent do not always accurately summarize the effect it would have on society. For example, anyone who voted against the "Patriot Act" could have been falsely labelled "an opponent of domestic security".

Just reminding everyone of some basic definitions.

Interesting? They are just going to be an endless litany of mudslinging attackads, since that's what Karl Rove forte is. I'll even bet right now that most of them will be complete bullshit and come within micrometers of being slander. Any takers?
