What's in Phoenix, Arizona?

Post by Uraniun235 »

My mother wants to drag me along to somebody's wedding. I will almost certainly be bored to death at the wedding. I can tell her 'no', but it'll be a real kick in the balls if I find out after the fact that there's something mind-blowingly amazing in Phoenix.

Is there anything in Phoenix which is utterly fascinating and shouldn't be missed out on?

Not that I can think of and I've got family there.

If you end up having to go they do have an IMAX theater.

When are you supposed to be there?

If you like baseball the Diamandbacks usually have really cheap tickets on game days, although you have to wait in line a long time. If you're coming sooner the Coyotes are doing poorly enough now that they aren't selling out their new arena, and if it's going to be during football season the Cardinals always have seats available. :)

Alice Cooper has a restaurant called Cooper's Town. It's near Bank One Ballpark and has some kind of Rock-n-Roll/Sports tie-in. I wasn't impressed by the website but I have heard that the food is good and that ocassionally Alice drops in to play. IIRC the place usually has a live band but I don't know at what times.

Phoenix Travel Doesn't make me want to go to Phoenix and I'm only a couple of hours away. :?

We went to this place a couple of times when I was a kid Rawhide. If you're into that "western" thing it might kill some time.

Trip Advisor might help some.

Some of the people around here who actually live in the Phoenix area should be more help. :D

There's really tons of things to do in Phoenix.

But it's a big town, where exactly will you be going?

You're not required to attend, since it's a non-relative.

Phoenix fucking blows compared even to Portland. Does that answer your question?

It answers it plenty well; if Phoenix blows that badly, I'll just stay in Oregon rather than let an almost-stranger's wedding cut into my spring break. Thanks.

If you're into scenery, Arizona is beautiful, and it's not unbearably hot in March that I know of (then again, I went in November one year and it was 90 degrees all three days).

On average, 50% of Phoenix is female. Get the hell out of the house, see new places, drink their liquor, and fool around with their women. :D

Thats like the unofficial motto of the United States Marine Corps., but it works well in alot of situations.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Your location relating your vicinity to "the boondocks" certainly doesn't make that very clear.

The roads are so bad out here that our FedEx driver is starting to complain.
Wouldn't that be just great? Lose delivery service because of shitty roads?
