In combat: Macrobinoculars or Night vision goggles. They're the only ones that don't produce active emissions.

Ordinary conditions: Star Wars type personal scanners.

I think the macros. Good zoom, easy to use, small and easily shoved in a pocket.

But certainly better than having artillery called down on your position.

Yes, but I doubt the codings for macros are compatible with modern VHS or digital media systems, and Night vision doesn't record. And since stafge two of my plan is to get rich by selling the videos to tabloids and porn companies, that would put a major crimp in my plans.

Marcoboincs are bascily realy good regular bonics(zooming, range-finder, built in distant measurer)

However the Tricoder is literly a Swiss Army Knife of stuff

However consider it as a Work avoidance device

Simply give your boss a Pin of Titanium or any other-notypical metal then have the Tricoder constantly scanning for that pin and thus have an exact location of him at all times :D

Or just patent the thing and make millions :D

Having used the 7b all I can say is, damn its good.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

There is a simular system in the military for a military licence.

The PVS 7b had horrible perception problems, but I never used them constantly like that. On patrols we would use them every checkpoint or cases were we thought we had contact but couldn't be sure. If you were going to use them while driving, you should have had the right seater use them and the driver use the cat's eyes or black out lights.

personally i'd stick with the Macrobinoculars

They have built in night vision
They have built in IR imaging
They have zoom capable of seeing a space battle in obit of a planet(and that was only a civi model!)
Gives me range and bearing too

None of the above

FLIR goggles with a laser range finder. I also want a helmet mounted LASAR and millimeter radar.
