Looks like you're getting your wish. Clark's losing badly.

Hmm, unless things flip flop pretty drasticaly, this is the death blow for the Dean campaigne as well as Joe's and probably Al's. They'll probably keep going as long as they have some money just for the publicity and for the hope of having some delegates for the convention, but its going to be a sorry sight to see any of them say any thing remotely like they're still in it after this.

Clark, IMNSHO, was done last week.

It looks like Kerry is going to be on the ticket. I have to give him credit, I thought he was out of the race in November.

And to think, Dean was considered the undisputed frontrunner by many a few months ago. I say it's a race between Kerry and Edwards now.

To be fair, Dean claimed that he was ignoring this round to focus on later rounds. If he can actually pull off a come-from-behind in the states he wanted, he'll be back in the race. I would also say that Sharpton has been out of it for a while. In fact, he's been out of it since before he started running, but Lieberman has just been knocked out today, since it's clear now that he lost the state he wanted to win, and that his message isn't being heard loudly enough to make a significant showing in the polls.

I would argue that Edwards is the most electable, but he doesn't really communicate anti-Bush sentiment as well as Kerry does, and that seems to be something the Democratic base wants to get across.

I think Edwards can pull off most of the South. Call it a little bit of southern rebellion against the Yankee Kerry. There is the potential of this being a battle for a while to come.

Lieberman just withdrew. Apparently he didn't think his campaign could win if he didn't win Delaware, and he lost fairly miserably.

That's my impression as well. Edwards is doing OK (not good but still in the race). Dean isn't doing well, but he doesn't appear to be leaving anytime soon. And I haven't heard anything about Clarke leaving.

Does anyone have any idea how fast these guy's are spending money? Each dollar that the Dems spend fighting each other is one less to spend against the Republicans.

Kerry and Edwards will be on the ticket in some order.

Dean can *say* he's ignoring this round, but with only one *second* place finish and that with low numbers (14%) in a tiny state (DE) he's dead.
If you don't ask, how will you know?

Looks like Clark's in the lead in OK, by a slim margin.

That's actually important. If Edwards wins OK, he'll be in MUCH better position moving into the next round. If he loses, then he and Clark will only be DISTANT challengers to Kerry and may even be out of the race.

Well, looks as if Clark won, getting 15 delegates. Edwardscame in second, winning 13 delegates, and Kerry won 12.

I would think that that phrasing would be horribly criticized by his supporters, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't know, for Dean to win, he'll have to win eventualy. His cash is going quick and I doubt he'll have much in the way of new funds flowing in. He can keep shifting the focus to the next round all he likes but its just starting to look sad.

If he can't win Michigan and some other states in the next round he'll be out of it completely, since his new "all or nothing" strategy with those states will have been shown to be worthless. However, I think that he still has a chance of mounting a come-back IF he manages to win in the next round. If he loses then, he'll be totally out of the race and that'll be the end of that.
