STGOD 3: Main Story Thread

As the evening approached, Dorian called Mr. Hank, but only got his mailbox.
"I'll be dining in the Senators Grille tonight. If you still would like to join me, you will find me there from around 7PM."

He dressed, all black again, and went out of the hotel, deiciding for a unhurried walk to the restaurant.
His walk brought him close to the PRID Headquarters, and he could see some protestors in front of it, waving posters of some sort.
Curiously, he walked closer.
THey seemed to be Star Cult adherers, 30 or 40 people, and they seemed bent on stopping the PRID, even if it was just with demonstrating.
Pitiful
Some guy seemed to take notice (in his black dress, standing 6'8 he usually drew attention), and walked close to him.
"Do you want to help us convince those ungodly killers of their wrongdoing?" the balding man exclaimed enthusiatically.
"Wrongdoing?"
"Yes, they try to stop the Messenges from Heaven!"
"Messe- Oh, the Apparitions?"
The guy's cheerful smile wavered at the use of the word. "THat's not what they are like!"
"Well, I don't want to join you, any way." He was about to walk away, when a hand lashed out and grabbed him, and his 3000$ suit.
Dorian felt himself tense up. "Do not touch me!" He hissed.
"You'Re with them," he pointed to the PRID, "aren't you?"
"No," his voice as cold as liquid nitrogen. "Now, let go of me. That is your last warning."
But it didn't seem to change his mind of clinging to him. He kept on blabbering about how evil PRID was. Not that he particularly cared for PRID, but he was spoiling his suit, goddamit. He felt his anger rise.
Lights started flickering around them and in the buildings around them.
""Let go!" he snapped. But he still wouldn't let go.
"Very well then," his face was sporting an evil, murderous grin now. "You asked for it..."
His senses expanded, and found all the Star Cult guys. He felt their bodies pulse with electricty, with energy. He concentrated on their brains, and then it was done.
Almost instantly, all protestors slumped to the ground, like bags of meat, dead. If someone should look into it, he would find that all electrical activity in the bodies had suddenly ceased.

Dorian straightened his suit, brushed some dirt off of it, and resumed his walk to the restaurant, smiling.

Wraith walked into the Starbucks on main st. He sat down after getting a coffee and opened a news-paper. Waiting for Mancer.

Mancer watched as Nuada started running. She'd normally go after him, but she was already running late for her appointment...
"Recapture him, I've got an important appointment. Besides, I'm not a field grunt..."
Mancer just walked out of the door, and closed it behind her.

10 Minutes Later
Mancer walked into the busy Starbucks shop - she sensed Wraith almost immediately. She quickly grabbed a Cappuccino, then sat down in front of Wraith.
"Hello. Lets work out the details - if all goes well, I'll show you where you'll be working today."

"All right. I want help in dealing with whoever attacked us. I want ten million to help with your network. I am going to need top of the line computers and complete access to your files so I can encrypt them. Also I get to keep the computers when I am done. If that doesn't work for you I can just walk out now." Wraith said to Mancer.

"Done. You'll also have to sign an agreement to not disclose any information you learned during this. Furthermore - no backdoors. We'll have people watching your actions, they'll know if you try something. If this works out, we may employ you during other times of need."

"Alright. Follow me, our office is pretty close to this area."

The pair exited Starbucks and started walking down the street, towards the downtown area.

"Where is this place anyways?"
"You'll see. It's only about a ten minute walk."

Eventually they reached a obscure building. It seemed like a normal governmental building. As they stepped inside, Wraith couldn't help but notice the sterile marble floor. They stepped through a metal detector, and of course, it went off when Wraith passed through.
"Please empty your pockets and remove your weapons..." intoned the guard.

Wraith grinned.

He took off his trenchcoat and removed the Two MP-5k's, the P-90, and two SigSaur P-226 pistols. He then removed the katars he had attached to his wrists and the four throwing daggers he had.

After that he walked through the metal detector again and it didn't go off.

He turned to Mancer, "Satisfied?"

Mancer opened the door, and stepped in after Wraith.
"Welcome, Wraith. You'll be working with the PRID."

As soon as he heard those words Wraith knew that he could be in some deep shit here. If they ever found out that he had a hand in wacking those thrity agents he would be fucked.

He never showed it on his face though.

"I have always wanted to work with you guys." Said Wraith. "Well why dont you show me where I will be working."

Mancer smirked a little at his reaction. He was good at hiding it, but with her telepathic powers, she still saw it.
She leaned in forward, closing the gap between them.
"I already know about your previous 'contracts'. Nobody else does... Yet. Here's your chance to redeem yourself. Do well, and I'll make sure nobody else finds out."

Hank pushed ALyatar to the back of the plane. From the front the pilot called, "Found the place, nice big clearing too, bringing us down with the ramp heading towards the rift. Tons of them, so prep yeself."

Hank nodded, and said, "Prepare the machine guns."

On the outside two retractable machine guns at the rear of the plane deployed themselves, inside the plane two heavy machine guns were set up with barricades. Behind them there were eight lines of Heroes, Hank himself was in the third line. Suddenly the silent eiree serenity was shattered as the exterior machine guns started firing off filling the large troop cabin with a rythmic chatter, finally the craft resonated with a bump as it gently hit the earth.

Seconds later the machine guns stopped, the ramp went down, and the Heroes as a unit went out and started ripping the apparitions to shreds. After a minute of securing a perimeter Hank shouted, "A team, with me into the cave! That's you too proffessor."

"Doesn't work like that, we've got to closr the gateway by hand. Last time this happened we were caught at a lost, it made the PRID make a rapid reaction unit, namely us. Ah, and here comes the pincher, lets go."

Hank turned on his gun and helmet light and started over to the cave, while another Hero brought a really big, flashing over-sized gun out from the plane and along with the group.

As the guns opened up on the apparitions, energy gathered in Alytar hands and what amounts to plasma exploded from his hands, arched over hs friends, and utterly destroyed the apparitions in the area.

Ragam grew and picked up Marcus in his hand.

"here we go" and Ragam rocketed into the air

Ragam and marcus had touched down on the other side of the mountain completely unaware of PRID on the other side. Ragam new this cave well and had decided that trying a different route to the gate way. He put marcus down and stayed the largest form that would fit into the cave (about 2 1/2 stories high)

"Get ready, there is going to be a bright white gate, Blast it to hell" Ragam said as they started to walk in

Grinned and set off into the cave with the big ape at his side, he formed a ball of energy in his hand, he kept his katanas in its sheaths, figuring they'd be useless in this place. It was actually pretty quiet in here, but the power Marcus was still eminating from his recent escape and his trenchcoat found itself floating around him. There were few apparations so far as they walked.

"It's quiet... when do we get to this gate thing you're so interested about?"

"MMM... soon" Ragam grumbled as they walked down the dark cave.

"Listen marcus. I don't think that your powers is going to close this thing. When i was battling them they were talking about a creature that hunted them in their own time. When i was trying to close the gate i saw into there world i saw the creature and if we can draw its attention to the gate maybe it can stop this... of course you still get to kill them"

The heroes were unloading everything. Even with the proffessor's help the fight was tough at best. Screaming over the gun fire and the Co-Ordination signals in the back-ground Hank was shouting, "SEND IN C-TEAM, SEND IN C-TEAM, BRING AN L-TAC, BRING AN L-TAC, BE AWARE! BE AWARE!"

Meanwhile the party came to a turn in the cave system, and came apon a small room, illuminated by a wide oval. As if on cue the hero carrying the "pincher" aimed, flipped a few switches, and fired the hulking gun. After thrity seconds of continued fighting and a beam of solid energy trying to surround the portal he shouted, "Cap, it ain't working."

Hank walked next to him, and talked into his ear, "Turn it up to 90%. When progress begins turn it down."

The gunner started to comply, then said, "The Regs say we can't turn it past 80% SIR!"

While walking away Hank shouted, "I wrote the Regs, I know when to break them."

The energy beam then began to grow wider, after another minute, in which apparitions began coming out of the portal like bats out of hell, the portal finally started to collapse slowly.

Hank gritted his teath and talked into the comm, "Only five more minutes folks, we need the Logs and Backup NOW folks."

"Well in that case lets get started." said Wraith.

'She reads minds, well Mancer if your reading my mind now, I know who the mole is. If you give me my freedom, I will work for you and tell you who the mole is.'
