Choose Wisely
If you were stuck on a desert island and could only have books/cd's/movies/video games related to one of these two universes, which one would you choose and why?

Me, I'd choose Star Wars. Why, you ask? Simple, I just don't like Star Trek.

Star Trek.
I cant add up the amount of crap there is related to it on CD....the raft idea would work best with them. Add in tons of useless paper with which to make some kind of sail....or, if you dont want to make the raft, there's enough crap there to build a papiaemachae mansion.

That would actually work. The plastic covers (of the books) ablate water quite well, and you could tie it together and make the inside using the paper. Heating the binding glue up, you could seal up holes in the raft.Darth Wong wrote:Star Trek. If the movies are on VHS tape, then use the actual tape as rope. The CDs are good for signaling people if you see a rescue boat (reflection). You would need a piece of wood or something as an oar.
Just hold on to the Eugenics War duology to read while you're heading home.

Star Trek. The high metaphasic temporal subspatial plasma coefficient of the Star Trek material would make it burn better.

Star Trek, don't need to make a raft out of it, just pile it up. The sheer amount of it will create a mountain noticeable from space. And if that doesn't help I can still thumb down a high-flying aircraft.

I'd pick Star Wars. Sure, a lot of the EU is crap, but it's crap I can stand.

Even better yet, throw some of the Star Trek material into the ocean or burn it, Greenpeace will swift arrive to protest your illegal dumping of hazardous material in the ocean and hopefully give you a ride in exchanging for ceasing the activity.

With the amount of "secondhand" KJA books and Crystal Star hanging around out there, I probably have enough material to start another smog in the pacific

Star Trek. But i intend to do something different. I'll burn it in a fire so hot i can melt beach sand into a glass boat and make a sail out of the remainder of it. Then i'll save some of the (rare) good stuff to prevent boredom on the trip home. Plus i'm hinging my bets on the fact that somewhere, there's star trek related food.

I'd like to point out that if you'd chosen Star Wars, you could simply use the volume of flames generated by the mention of KJA's name to bake the raft, and you could snack on wookie cookies while you sail home. Instead, you will be stuck with Klingon Blood Pie (scroll down to the review, it's mentioned.)darthdavid wrote:Star Trek. But i intend to do something different.
