That's not the same as cruise missle with standard warheads. And yes, nukes would work but are unlikely to come into play. Way to much potential for escalation. Especially if I have nukes of my own.

The French only have missiles with the range to hit The Former USSR. they couldn't hit America only Moscow. Same with most Europian nations. and if you put your AT-AT on a boat everyone would sink your boat before it gets anywhere.

I suppose. Then again they might be able ellude them. Especially if they were off supporting other operations (Iraq perhaps).

My only problem with the AT-AT is that I wouldn't be able to squeeze into the "Compact" parking spaces, anymore.

I can think of about 2000. 2,500 tons is nothing for your average ship, and it would fit in most any container ship or tanker without a need for kneeling, though getting in and out would be a problem.

The best bet would be an sea going coal barge refitted with bow or stern doors. You will however need quite a tug if you want to cross oceans with it.

Six French SSBN's, one or two at sea at any one time, five have missiles which can reach America from dockside at the base in Brest. At least three would be ready to fire at any one time.

Hunting down the one at sea with SSN's, which would be a real bitch, is not enough.

I'd want a speeder bike. It's small enough to fit in my house or storage closet, and has a laser to kill things with. An AT-AT would cause too much collateral damage.

It seems the general consensis is that you want to drive the massive kick-butt AT-AT. Also the joyriders come in second(t-16 and speeder bike) and if added togather actually beat the AT-AT.
