Good. Nice to see the Judicial branch remind the Executive branch that they're not there to make the laws...

It seems like the activist judges are at it again, going against the will of the Americans.

Yeah, this sounds like the 9th Circuit Court. Good for them.

Yes, but mostly imported Canadian hemp, which is where 99+ percent of the hemp in the US today comes from.

Once you wear a hemp shirt it's very hard to go back. I'm wearing a nice red one right now.

I have no idea about the crude thing. The clothes are insulated well, especially in cold weather, it keeps the heat in well. Feels nice on the skin and is stronger than as usual shirt. Also, they tend to look good, it might just be the designers, but a hemp all one colour shirt looks better than a non hemp one.

Hemp has very low THC levels thus a high is hard if possible to achieve. It also has another cannabinoid in it that blocks the usual marijuana high anyway.

You also couldn't grow hemp and marijuana in the same fields as the plants cross-polinate and fuck any point in having the plants grown anyway if a high is all you're after.

I always heard that hemp was a good renewable source for making paper, which was supposed to be one of the reasons Hearst went after it so strongly. He owned a whole bunch of timber and was killing his competition for the paper industry.

Incidently, there was a whole bunch of wild hemp growing all over the Boy Scout camp I went to as a kid. Every so often some dumb ass would try to smoke some. :)

I suspect it can "replace" crude in the same way corn can--after a long, expernsive, dirty refining process you can turn it into a gasoline substitute. That and hemp can replace certain synthetic fibers produced from petroleum.

Jojoba oil is looking like a better replacement to normal diesel for instance and produces less pollutants as well as being more efficient and with the cosmetics industry behind it already it has a good industry set-up.

Course, searching for other alternatives still goes on.
