According to the drudge report John Kerry has been caught banging an intern. Several News outles were wotking to break the story (newsweek, abc, ap) but Matt Drudge got wind of it and broke it first. Not only that, but guess who threw him under the bus. None other than Gen. Wesley Clark. Ahhhh, the civility of American politics.

You'd think that would be top news, given our media, but both CNN and FOXNews don't seem to be blathering on about it. Barbie and Ken (the dolls) spliting up is bigger news. You are going to have something better than the Drudge Report if you want to level that accusation.

Okay, first of all the Drudge report is not a reliable source.

However, going on the ASSUMPTION that this is true, what the hell was Clark thinking? He was being considered as a running mate by Kerry. Also, this will severely hurt Kerry's chances in the election, and it's already much too late for Clark and the other democrats to catch up in the primaries.

Let's break this down.

--First, we've got an unsubstantiated report from an unreliable source that accusations are being thrown around that Senator Kerry, in his past, bent over an intern. Something, I might add, isn't anyone's business outside of Kerry, his wife, and the intern.
--ASSUMING that someone picks this up ala "Monica", it will go across the media like widefire, whether it is true or not (which is still unknown).
--Media hounds Kerry, rumors fly like cruise missiles every which way, every conservative pundit cleans the sticky stain off their pant and rallies to scream shrilly about how immoral Kerry is, et cetera et cetera.
--Scandal happens. Conservatives who think that someones sex life is more important than the issues scream bloody murder.
--In the end, potentially this could really hurt Kerry's career and do damage to his domestic life...

...and peoples first instinct is to cheer?

They don't care whether this is true or not, they are just happy that a scandal over someone's sex life has broken and now someones career and life could be damaged. And they are happy about this? What the hell is wrong with people? Celebrating a rumor about someones dirty laundry is a really shitty thing and only real scumbags do it. I'm sick of it, I hated this when it happened to Clinton, or Newt Gingrich or any of the other scumbag scandals that aren't anyone business and end up costing taxpapers millions combing over. Get a fucking life.

Then take that as a general message to the board then. The sort of people who cheer these sorts of things on in real life and hope that people careers are damaged by it are nothing but shit stains. You say "No ones cheering..." now, but if this thing gets picked up by the media, whether it's true or not, watch how conservatives act. If you don't think that they will be jumping up and down with glee that Kerry's got a sex scandal, you've got to be the most naive person on the planet.
