The SDnet Presidential Election

Knowing what we know now, who are you voting for? (Assuming Kerry gets the nomination, which he most likely will)

In an election like this, I do not want to waste my vote, so to Kerry I go.

Right now? Bush, grudgingly. Talk to me in two weeks and I'll be back to just sitting this election out, probably.

Kerry. I don't like him, but he's better than Bush. If there were no Patriot Act, I'd maybe vote for Bush. But maybe not. He spends more money than damn near anyone I can think of.

Kerry is the lesser of two evils, so i'll have to go with him, myself.

Dean! is who I'd prefer voting for, but I'll vote for Kerry, if he gets the nomination.

If I could legally vote? Kerry. Party affliations mean nothing to me (I think its the height of stupidity to simply vote for someone "because they're a democrat" or whatever), so its simply a question of the candidate I like the best. Bush is absolutely incompetant when it comes to foreign policy, a massive spender, and I don't have terribly nice thoughts about his cabinet, either.

I'm probably going to vote Kerry. Not because he's a democrat because I'm sick of alot of President Bush's bullshit.

Kerry, if only to depose the Tyrant. Bush is an ignorant fundy fucktard and he is actively working to derail this nation and the world. Forgive me but I'll pass on some asshat who thinks he recieves inspiration from God on matters of policy. If you think the ride has been fun so far, wait until the second term. The gloves will be off, and he will be the human manifestation of the American Christian Right.

Prehaps his choosing his polical party, and choosing who he'll vote for IS free will?

Probably the libertarian candidate, but only because I live in New York (the most liberal state)

What type of plant and how well-dressed?

Frankly, if the democrats nominated a well-dressed potted plant, I'd vote for it before I'd vote for Bush.

Then again, I'm not American, so I won't get to vote either way.

A. You're saynig that it's not free will to CHOOSE your political party?

B. Whose saying Spanky will vote for anyone just because he's a republican? Maybe, shocker of all shockers, he actually agrees with George Bush on the issues too!

And yes, if I didn't agree with the positions of a Republican candidate, I would not vote for them. But I doubt that I would vote for the Democratic one, either, and voting Third would be a waste.

Kerry. I don't like Bush at all, and Kerry is the strongest politician to come out of the Democratic party since Clinton.

The dollar in free-fall.
Wealth increasingly in the hands of the wealthy.
Least fair tax structure since the Eisenhower Administration.
Political power concentrating increasingly in the hands of small elites.
Employment in a continuous freefall with Bush claiming that leaking American jobs to foreign countries is GOOD for the country.

Yeah, I can see a whole bunch of reasons to vote for Bush.

I think he's quoting from a David Webster novel about a failing dictorial government that launches a "Short, Victorious War" (also the name of the book) to divert the attention of the citizenry.
