Resolution 137 repealed

Post by Alex Moon »

Here
The Ministry of Justice officially announced that the GC Resolution 137 can be considered annulled, and that all future family affairs cases would be dealt with according to the former Personal Circumstances ahwal al shakhsiya code which has been in effect since the fifties, and which the GC unilaterally abolished more than a month ago replacing it with Islamic Sharia law.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Good~ I wonder what prompted them to do this
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Probably the lot of pissed off Iraqis who don't want their country turned into Iran-lite. And their wives. Most definately their wives. :)

Probably Paul Brenner quietly putting the right set of nuts in a vice (metaphotically speaking).

Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963

The current state of Iraq is realy sad when compared with Iraq before the first persian gulf war. In those days fundies were non existant in Iraq and laws like this were very unlikely.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Yeah, there was just minor stuff like rape rooms. Nothing compared to what they have now, anyway.

The modern Iraq has no Saddam but the standard of life is far worse than the eighties. If Iraq was invaded right after the first Gulf war the destruction and decay caused by a decade of sanction could have been avoided.

If Bush 1 had invaded, we would have lost the support of the Coalition.

Maybe, maybe not. If nothing else we probably could have seen a real popular revolt in favor of a progressive state. Instead he knuckled under...
