What surprises me is that it's been on for five days. Do they really keep them for that long?~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Assuming 1500 of the boards 1533 members wanted to contribute an equal share to this endeavour, each of us would have to contribute $17,333.67 in order to match the current bid.
Given that a good number of us here are poor college students, I'd guess that no, we wouldn't be able to get that kind of money together.
(Besides, we haven't even touched on the cost of fuel for the thing.)

Can't be WP. It just wouldn't be right having someone from the Air Force flying one of the Blue Angels.
He can fly this though. Mig 29
The bid on it's is only around $3.5 million.

By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks.

Ein can draw up the schematics in MSPaint.
Skimmer and Vympel can design the weapons loadout.
Wicked pilot can fly it.
Me and Col. Crackpot and he other gearheads can perform maintenance. Mike can design the repulsorlift and hypermatter reactor core.
Verilon can design and install the gridfire projectors.
and we can contact our old friend revPrez to move forward with plans for the Stupidity drive.
Now all we need is a name....

Indeed, nothing can beat a third generation jet fighter with a windup clock in the cockpit for shear coolness.Chardok wrote:Additionally, I'd like to add that I would MUCH rather have the fulcrum over the Hornet. Why? Simple.
Because. It's cooler.

Given I bought Lock-On: Modern Air Combat yesterday since it's by the same Rushkies who did the godly Il-2 Sturmovik, I'm finding it hard to fly a jet with old guages all over the place. Sure it's back to basics, but it's so different to the likes of F22: TAW and Jane's F/A-18 Super Hornet.Sea Skimmer wrote:Indeed, nothing can beat a third generation jet fighter with a windup clock in the cockpit for shear coolness.Chardok wrote:Additionally, I'd like to add that I would MUCH rather have the fulcrum over the Hornet. Guess I'm out of practice, relying on Betty and colour MFDs along with modern helmet sights all the time has made me lose my touch.
The MiG-29 just needs some fluffy dice to make it complete.
