well the series creator was heavily inspired by the 1970's expliotation action adventure movies. Yes, the character is Hispanic and/or Native american, yes from that point of view the character is a racist stereo type, he's still the ultra-cool, supergood driver, romantic type, he's a good character, but the series has it's faults...
