I'm a bastard

Post by Joe »

Today is my mom's birthday. Completely and totally forgot, my sister had to call and remind me. Now I have to call my mom at work and try to apologize.

This ever happen to any of you?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Not really, but I have trouble remembering when stuff like Mother's Day and Father's Day occur. When reminded, I know, but like right now I couldn't tell you on what days they are.

For a long time I had trouble remembering how old my parents are though.

Birthdays were never a big deal for my family, got a couple of gifts when I was a kid, but other then that they weren't celebrated. I don't even know when my mother's and my father's birthdays are. Hell, I even forgot my last birthday, only remembered it a week later filling out a taxt form.

The only birthday I know by heart is mine.
I can't remember birthdays. And if someone asks me a) when my mother is born and b) how old she is, I can only shrug (though I can pinpoint the month actually)...

Mothering Sunday is two weeks before Easter Sunday. Easy if you can just remember when the latter is...

Any reason why, or is it just a Hallmark holiday? Coz over here it's tradition.

You know, it's hard to have traditions when your country is only like 200 years old. ;)

Here in Australia, we have Mothers day, the Hall mark one, and the Anglican church still celebrates mothering Sunday, but only churches celebrate it.

That's just silly :? how many times do your mother's need to be told you love them?

And Hartman, you have Thanksgiving and Independance Day don't you?

Not only was the Lady In Question a West Virginian, but they still hold a large celebration in Grafton WV every year in rememberance.
