Fuck.
Fuck fuck fuckity fuck.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
North Korea will likely collapse instead of fire(Thankfully), Iraq obviously had no such weapons, but while alot of people are very secure that Iran will reform soon, this is sounding like it will be bad before the reform is complete...

Actually, the reformists in Iran have recently had to deal with setbacks. Things are looking worse now than they were last summer.

Maybe Israel will attack them, like they did back in 1981 with Iraq and its nuclear facility. Afterall, Iran is still the only middle eastern country that refuses Israel's right to exist.

Iran is way outside Israel's ability to strike them ... unless they get refuelled mid flight over Iraq by America.Gunshy wrote:Maybe Israel will attack them, like they did back in 1981 with Iraq and its nuclear facility. I'd forgotten about those pesky things called "geography" and "distance." Iran...Iraq...both crazy fucking countries that should end in vowels.Crown wrote:Iran is way outside Israel's ability to strike them ... unless they get refuelled mid flight over Iraq by America.Gunshy wrote:

Israel could use nuclear armed ballistic missiles to strike Iran. But that is very unlikely due to the possible consequences.Crown wrote:Iran is way outside Israel's ability to strike them ... unless they get refuelled mid flight over Iraq by America.Gunshy wrote:Maybe Israel will attack them, like they did back in 1981 with Iraq and its nuclear facility. I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.
I doubt that Israel is that stupid. There best bet is to talk Turkey into striking first, or allow Israeli planes to strike from Turkish soil.evilcat4000 wrote:Israel could use nuclear armed ballistic missiles to strike Iran. It's the reasonable thing to do for Iran, since it's the only way for them to protect themselves from
(a) a US invasion
(b) an Israeli strike
I don't think it's a good that Iran has nuclear weapons, but then I don't think Israel should have them either, and I think you shouldn't do an invasion without UN consent. Every state has a right to protect itself, but nuclear weapons in the hand of religious fanatics...

But Turkey wants to get in the EU, and Germany has quite good standings with Iran (as a safe bet I'd say a good portion of Iranian technology is via some way or the other German....).Crown wrote:I doubt that Israel is that stupid. if proof were leaked that Germany helped Iran develop nuclear weapons not only would every shread of German diplomatic credibility be destroyed for decades, i'd imagine the German public would demand Schroder's head on a pike.... and they'd get it.Dahak wrote:But Turkey wants to get in the EU, and Germany has quite good standings with Iran (as a safe bet I'd say a good portion of Iranian technology is via some way or the other German....).

As a matter of fact, several Pakistani, who later on became involved in high positions of the Pakistani nuclear program, went through education about nuclear technology in Germany.
A report suggests that might have been poltical reason in order to reduce the status of France and the UK, being nuclear powers and all.
German companies helped Saddam build up his bunkers and weapons industry. As long as there's money to be made with, some german company *will* sell it, regardless any embargoes or the like...

You find it the least bit hypocritical? Selling materials that is. Studying nuclear physics in and of itself ins't a crime.

Not nuclear physics. They were educated on the then-top-of-the-line equipment for reprocessing and other high-end equipment. With government financial aid.You find it the least bit hypocritical?
