Wisconsin Primary goes to Kerry... barely.

This is a huge win for Edwards. The fact that the primary is open to independents and Democrats gives him leverage going into Super Tuesday. He can claim that he'll bring in more swing voters than Kerry would, which is very good for a primary season where "electability" is supposedly the key issue for Democrats.

Dean was supposed to be the leading democratic candidate before the caucuses. But now he seems to be way behind others like Kerry.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

And yet if you heard him tell it, he just stomped on Kerry and Edwards like a giant angry white American Godzilla. :)

The CNN braking news email service reports that Dean will stop campaigning, though hes not withdrawing his name from the ballot.

sounds like a move to take votes away from a dem victory.

Although it's nice that Edwards held up his lead, don't get too excited. A lot of the voters who gave him that nice 36% rank were Republicans and Independents voting in the open Democratic primaries- and they probably won't vote for him if he gets nominated.

All the way! Do you think Bush will choose Cheney as his VP again? I mean, the guy has generated serious controversy . . .

Edwards has shown no interest in being the VP. I can't remember.....has he resigned his senate seat so he can campaign? I would bet he'd be more interested in returning to the senate in the case that he loses the nomination. Instead of riding the horse of a ticket that still may not win, he would be returning to the senate and build up his resume....

Edwards is up for re-election this year in the Senate.

There are a lot of politicians that I'd rather have as VP, but then again, if he's out, that leaves the spot open for someone even less desirable, like John Ashcroft.
