Well, yes, but a meercat furry is so much funnier and more fitting than a fox furry.

And incidently, since I feel that I owe you some nitpicks, "that" wouldn't proceeds "ergo". Ergo = Therefore. Would you say "Therefore that's why..."

I personally can't stand it when furries go for uncommon animals. It's just stupid. I mean, a meerkat? What the hell? Nowhere near as good as one of the standards such as the fox.
