Older Women. Dating up, thoughts and experiences?

I'm enjoying the company of a lovely blonde senior and as I fondled her luscious breasts I was thinking on how dating up is different than dating your own age or down.

Now I realize when one is exposed to real people in the real world this diminishes in important and the scale becomes skewed. In my experience it has a degree of superiority complexes coming into play by the older partner and can be problematic when people aren't very mature. On the other hand, it is escape from your usual circle usually, and can be very refreshing.

Difference in experience was the biggest thing I found. Though really it depends because the younger could just be more than average experienced in life and the older could be sheltered. It can depend on how its structured as well. There is a difference between dating someone a year ahead of you in college, and dating someone that is already working while you're still in college.

Or it could just not matter. As you get older, age really starts to matter less and less.

Dating younger girls was always problematic for me. They say girls mature faster than guys, but that is a total crock of shit; most of the girls that were either my own age or younger always like to try to play stupid games and have no sense of the consequences of their actions.

I've only dated one woman that was significantly older than me (21 vs. 30), but from that experience I noticed that most of the girls that choose to actually date younger guys do so because they aren't any more mature then guys a decade younger then them. I used to live in Aspen, CO and you see this shit all the time there where some rich older man/lady shacks up with a 20-ish ski instructor in order to feel younger and because no respectable person their own age would date them because they are infantile brats.

And you do realize that those girls who you are complaining about playing "head games" are whining that you "don't understand relationships"?

This is a big piss-off with me - society tries to pretend there are no significant differences between men and women (except for the birthin' babies part) but there ARE. And one of those differences involves the very different headspaces of male and female teenagers.

Young males are sex-obessesed (not that older males aren't, too) and can become extremely manipulative in pursuit of sex. Young females are relationship-obsessed (nor does that change much) and can become extremely manipulative in their pursuit of long-term bonds. Both sides frequently "play games" without regard to the consequences, then complain they don't understand the other side (true) and those other folks are playing "head games" and "jerking me around" and so forth.

I was that close to picking up and dating a chick who was almost 15 years older than me, thankfully I found out she was married before I did anything stupid. In my case all but 2 of the chicks I've dated have been my age or older, and I have to say it's worked out quite well except for the psycho chick who kept wanting to bite my dick off but that's a different story. Right now I'm in a wonderful relationship with my GF, who's a year younger than me but she's got the maturity of a much older person while still keeping the fresh fun-loving parts of youth. I don't have to tell you how good that is.

I now exclusively date older women (I'm 26, I just stopped dating a 32 year old, went out recently with a 36 year old, Going out next weekend with a 35 year old woman.) I think they are much more fun, and they seem to REALLY enjoy the comapny of a youthful, vital, funny, younger man. Rebecca has only become a better mate in her thirties. Better to talk to, better in bed, etc. An 18 year old, however, is only marginally more mature than a 16 or 17 year old. The maturation process does not really begin until you move out and start living on your own.

Be warned, however, that most women who are significantly (more than a few years) older will be extremely self-conscious about being seen dating a younger man, and you're relationship security is not very good in that situation. I had to learn that the hard way. Also, if you're looking for a long-term mate but don't want to start having kids, immediately, you might want to think about the fact that by the time a woman is 35 her ability to become pregnant and successfully carry a child is already not a guarantee.

Take this however you want, but I personally don't go looking for anyone older than 25 anymore.

There's definately a difference between older women and younger ones on the dating scene. The oldest I've been with is 44. She was AMAZING in bed. Yes, yes, I know.

Hence the disclaimer. I still can tell the difference with most seniors versus most juniors or sophmores though (though a couple are less mature than some juniors; that's just probability for you). But certainly they're not as insecure and unsure, and I'm sure if that's because I'm younger and thus less intimidating or something, or because they are older and thus squeezed in a handful more experience at this whole "life" thing than me.
