A "Brilliant" statement about Inteligent Design

Caught this on CNN, here is some idiot womans view on teaching inteligent design in Ohio. "Well, this country is a democracy (USA) and if those of us in Ohio want to add inteligent design as part of the science class, then that is the way it goes."

My response to that incredibly ignorant statement is. "Contrary to your idiotic statement, popular view can not change scientific fact. There is no scientific evidence supporting Inteligent Design, thus it can't be taught as a science. Furthermore I find it highly amusing that you want to add inteligent design to evolution teachings, are you going to push for inteligent design to be taught in Geology classes next?"

Here's the funny part; replace "intelligent design" with "flat-Earth" in that statement, and the "logic" doesn't change at all

That's a good reccomendation for a brutal dictatorship, if I ever heard one.

Deciding education democratically is always a bad idea. Because gullible fools always outnumber the intelligent. Add in areas with high numbers of fundies and you get a self perpetuating cycle of ignorance.

Perhaps I should tell kids that 2+2 is 5 and "we is smarts" is proper English, and then say "It's a free country". Because, isn't freedom of stupidity a right guaranteed in the Constitution?
