I think Australia should invade Canada.
We need a good conquest to militarise the country, to create an empire. Then, when we have conquered enough, all of our new provinces will play cricket and rugby and eat meat pies. Then when the Australian culture has sunk in, they won't care enough to fight back.

The United States is stratified to the point where some parts of the US are more culturally similar to foreign cultures than to other cultures within the US.
I can't allude to facts or figures, but my impression is that in all parts of the country, Americans overall have positive opinion of Australians. In all parts of the US, Americans are to a degree xenophobic and untrusting of other Americans from different groups or regions. My statement had more to do with the American regard for Australians than it had to do with the state of political stability in the US.

As a fellow subject of England it's your duty to bat, field or keep wicket.Montcalm wrote:Cricket NEVEEEEEERRRR we don`t want your silly sports hereGandalf wrote:I think Australia should invade Canada.

In time, you will know cricket. Then you'll get your ass handed to you by Australia.

Our natives were none too keen on Aussie rules football, now it is embraced.Montcalm wrote:No thanks i`ll stick to hockeyGandalf wrote:As a fellow subject of England it's your duty to bat, field or keep wicket.Montcalm wrote: Cricket NEVEEEEEERRRR we don`t want your silly sports here

Foolish Americans! Canada was ready to invade you 18 months ago, but random chance had to go muck up our brilliant plans!

Canada allows personal firearms ownership, right? So it would be safer to liberate an uninhabited swarth of forest between the ConUS and Alaska and leave the Canadian people alone. Besides, do we really want to live with Quebecians?Soontir C'boath wrote:Trees for the lumber industry and we can finally connect with Alaska. ~JasonDarth_Zod wrote:just out of curiosity, does canada actually -have- anything that would make it worth invading?

IMO that's very naive. I suspect that American's have a high opinion of Australia because a conflict (much less an invasion) is impossible. American opinion of countries that pose a threat is typically bad. Moreover, even though Americans are divided, we tend to unite against outside forces.Bertie Wooster wrote:I think if Australia invaded the US, the majority of Americans would actually support the Aussie forces.
