Can Berman & Braga Be Stopped?

Post by Raoul Duke, Jr. »

Is there anything Trek fans (or ex-fans) can do to wrench creative control away from Boneless & Brainless? Or at the very least challenge their closed submissions script policy? What can be done to keep Trek alive and nurse it back to health? (Note: this thread is NOT intended to discuss whether the above should be done, only how it might be done.)

I got a better idea; tell them that there is a new studio location Virginia. Then maybe the sniper will get them...

Seriously, the first step for those unhappy with Star Trek as it is, is to simply quite watching. Then quit buying merchandise and write Paramount explaining why. Encourage other fans to do the same thing.

It's either that or a car bomb....

I have already been boycotting Star Trek. It was because of Beavis & Butthead i abandoned ST for SW, all in all SW is way more consistant. The only realy ST worth watchign now is DS9 and only sometimes, Take oout the Defiant, seek out new life and new civilisations, then blow the shit outta it. No diplomacy shit, just kill em all

I watched TNG, tried to watch DS9 but couldn't bring myself to continue the torture (it was being screened DIRECTLY after Bab5 on the same network) *edit* (it should be noted that I love Bab5, and that I found that screening DS9 after it was an insult to the intelligence of the viewers and just put a crimp on the whole B5 high) */edit* and despised Voyager for being the steaming pile of rabid capybara faeces it was.

I watch Enterprise because, at the moment, it and Dark Angel are the only two pieces of sci-fi on free-to-air TV in Tasmania.

Have a Star Trek convention in the D.C. area and hope that sniper picks them both off.

I say you take over the company with military force. Either that or reincarnate Gene Roddenberry so he'll make ST good again. Or, you could get a job at Paramount and rewrite the scripts without them knowing.

Let me take over this shit -- I could fix it. Even if I couldn't return it to continuity, I could make it a shitload better than it is now.

Why waste his energy... Why not go bigger like having them fly an airplane over DC and hoping andrews find them "lost" and redirecting it using a stinger missile...

Point Osama in the direction of the new studios and give him a couple of surplus C-5 galaxies loaded with FAEs.

That should fix one problem.

Couldn't we just clone Gene Roddenberry back to life, and let him take control over ST and kick the crap out of Butthead and Butthole?

The idea is to improve Star Trek, considering the crap Gene Rodenberry turned out when he had complete freedom, I'll pass on that idea.

I thought you guys might be interested in these rumors. Some good news, some not so good. A semi-interesting premise for a 6th Trek series with what to me seem liks several bad ideas.

SCIFI2K.COM
Oct 15: Enterprise: Despite some good first season ratings Paramount execs were not happy with the first season of Enterprise, and may want to really bring in some fresh blood (Gee I said this before the series ever premiered) and dump the two morons producers, Brannon & Braga. Unfortunately they aren't looking to replace them until the fourth season, moving them to the new series 6. If it happens it is also to be produced by Jonathan Frakes. Enterprise would replace the producers of Enterprise with a person or persons not involved in Star Trek. Jeez, Paramount should dump Rick Berman as well.

Oct 15: Trek Series 6: Once again the rumor of a new Star Trek series surfaces in the light of Star Trek: Nemesis. The series idea - Captained by a familiar face. Nope, it's not Sulu - but the familiar face of number one, William Riker, accompanied by Troi and a new Federation Starship. Here is the RUMORED storyline for Series 6: The series 'Enterprise' will parallel the formation of the Federation with Series 6's fall of the Federation, in which the UFP will lose over half its territories to a new, completely alien foe that Future Guy works for. The Titan/Mariner, an untested ship, will be in charge of making sure established threats (like the Remans, Borg, and Dominion) don't cause any trouble. One bad point to the new idea is that if Brannon and Braga get the boot from Enterprise after season four they will become producers of this series along with Frakes. The new series would not premiere until after or during season four of Enterprise. Paramount is already in development of the series and has an in-house FX crew touching up the ship created by Digital Domain. (Scott Strout & the Facer)

Fall of the Federation? New alien foe? Someone tell George to buy the ST franchise immediately! More Stormies in the Federation!

What would be the point in that? Trekkies would probably never watch it. Enterprise all over again.
